As an architecture student soon to be finishing undergrad in the spring, this was really exciting to read up until "10+ years of relevant experience." Fingers crossed some WDI internship positions open up for the fall.
I know people who have and still do work for Disney corporate.

You don't want to work for Disney corporate. Literally work anywhere else.

That’s “preferred”.
You have nothing to lose by applying if you meet most of the criteria.
Worst outcome - they reject you outright. But if they like what they see then maybe they offer you an internship. I say go for it, sometimes you gotta take some risks to achieve your dreams.

If you have a portfolio, at least ask for a critique. They can only say no. Plus, sometimes you just want to be on their radar. They, like most companies, keep a history on candidates who apply for positions.

It might as well. In fact, you might be overqualified by today's WDI standards.
