Alas my poor ooey gooey toffee cake... yep, it's true, Liberty Tree Tavern is going on hiatus (July 6 - November 20, 2015.) You still have time this spring and summer to check out the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake! We are HUGE fans of lunch here at LTT, (dinner is great but no ooey gooey toffee cake or delicious burgers!) LTT is a must do lunch ADR every trip, and will be missed this Fall :( Check out my review.... click the link and get ready to drool!!! Have a Happy Foodie Friday all!!

Never had the toffee but LTT was the first Disney restaurant our DS at and he loved the characters, and boy was he mad when they left. Had they been open on our up coming trip I would have booked a lunch there.

A few years ago, DH and I tried LTT for the first time. We loved the colonial setting and had a great meal. When it came time for dessert, we thought the ooey gooey toffee cake sounded worth trying. And it was THE BEST! It's all DH talked about for months. Lucky for us, a restaurant near home offers a similar dessert.

My husband swears the burgers at LTT are his favorite in Magic Kingdom. I am partial to the turkey dinner aka pilgrim's feast. My son loves the chix noodle soup as well as the burgers and chocolate cake. Im a huge fan of the ooey gooey toffee cake!! We've been very fortunate, we have never had a bad meal at LTT.. Enjoy your upcoming vacation!

A little off topic, but I am going in May and got a reservation for dinner. First time there, can anyone tell me how it is/what to expect?

You will enter and check in on your left. There will be a few seats for waiting and a table with colonial Mickey and friends pictures for coloring. They'll call your name and say where you are from (from the state of... Or any place appropriate if not from the States). You'll have drinks, rolls and unlimited salad to start. Excellent salad. A main dish of roast turkey breast, sliced pork and carved beef will be served with sides of Mac-n-cheese and green beans. They will continue to serve whatever you ask - just turkey, beef, anything. Dessert is a cake topped with ice cream. Very nice "colonial" atmosphere. Good meal. I do miss the characters, but it's still a "must-do" since it's nicely located in the park.

My first disappointment I encountered after booking my trip for November. No ADR's there for me this trip.
