Hey every one I was wondering if I can get some help.. I went to Disney in Oct and stayed for 3 weeks and had some hits and misses on the dining plan. I really enjoyed Coral Reef, Hollywood and Vine, Chef Mickeys T rex. I did NOT enjoy Le ceiler Yachtsman Boma, Sci Fyi, or O hana. Can any one Tell me good sit down restaurants that I can try ! Also where they are located I am calling on Monday for my 180 days! Thank you!!!!!

It might help if you tell us what food you like. I like some of the restaurants you didn't and dislike some you enjoyed...

Wow! I love Boma!

As for service, the only restaurant we've consistently had bad service at was Liberty Tree. We've eaten there five times over the years and four of those times we had absolutely horrible service.

Any other restaurant where we had bad service we went back and had Disney's normal excellent service. I wouldn't condemn any restaurant on the basis of bad service in the past. I've given up on LTT mainly because the food wasn't all that great. Combined with the four out of five bad service, it's permanently off our list.

My favorites

If you like buffets, The Crystal Palace(B, L, OR D) is always great. We love the characters, too.
I personally enjoyed BOMA'S breakfast buffet. They served a variety of pastries, muffins, waffles, cinnamon raisin french toast, roast ham and turkey(over an open fire pit- really cool, with a variety of sauces to try with it, fresh fruit, etc, etc,..Lots of choices and I recommend getting the LATEST breakfast reservation you can so that it's like brunch and you won't be hungry til dinner time.
I also recommend The Yak N Yeti at The Animal Kingdom. My husband had the ribs and I had the salmon. BOTH amazing, FABULOUS SERVER- he knew we were in a hurry, our food came out fast, he had our drinks full at all times and we got our desserts to go and they were exceptional.
Donald's Safari breakfast is also great- all the favorite characters, they spent alot of time at our table and were really cute with our kids. The variety is unbelievable. I was stuffed and not even hungry at dinner.
Ohana's Breakfast is great. All you can eat platters of food. Unique. The Sausage. OH my gosh. the sausage. Yummy juice. Great service.
We ate at Teppan Edo at Epcot. I thought it was ALRIGHT, but if you REALLY enjoy Japanese hibachi, you may enjoy this. The neighboring restaurant, Tokyo Dining has HIGH ratings and i have heard great things.
This September, due to ratings/reviews I have read and wanting to try something new, We will be dining at Les Chef's de France, The Rose and Crown, The Captain's Grille(at Yacht club resort), Sanaa' at The Animal Kingdom Lodge, The Sci Fi (A favorite- i know you said you didn't care for it), The Whispering Canyon Cafe', The Crystal Palace(breakfast- 1st seating so that we can get pictures in front of the castle at the end of main street with NO ONE else around- heard this is cool to do if you have never tried it), and The Plaza Restaurant at Magic Kingdom.
GOOD LUCK! I wish you the best and hope you have a Magical stay in Disney world this August.

We LOVE the Hoop Dee Doo review it's at Wilderness campground. Salad, cornbread, fried chicken, bbq ribs, strawberry shortcake and beer and sangria are included, 2 dining credits though. It's a must do every trip for us. Other places we've enjoyed are Teppan Edo in Epcot for Japanese, Momma Melrose in Hollywood for Italian, 1900 Park Fare at Grand Floridian is our fav breakfast buffet, Sci-Fi but only for burgers, and 50's Diner for fried chicken, and La Hacienda in Epcot for mexican. That's all I can think of for now.

We will miss you by one day. Going to WDW Aug. 20th-27th!! We love Whispering Canyons in Disney's Wilderness Lodge resort. It's loud but great food and a great time!! (Ask for the Ketchup). Honestly, we like The Garden Grill @ Epcot also. Love Tusker house for breakfast!! (Their Jungle Juice is so good). This year we were looking for different places to eat so we are going to Try Liberty Tree, and T-Rex b/c they added it to the dining plan. Hope you have a great trip!!!

Honestly the last few trips we have made I wouldn't count on "above and beyond" in the service dept. at many of the places you listed. It can really be hit or miss and if they have free dining going on...expect it to be a miss then if it is a hit you will be thrilled. Were there specific areas that service just fell flat? We are done with Chef Mickeys...given them lots of 2nd chances over the last few years and we have noticed a serious decline in service, cleanliness and quality of food items. If you enjoyed the quality of food at some of the rest. but the service was sub par you might give them a 2nd chance. Good luck and keep us posted on what you decided!
