Help with choosing a Resort...suggestion?

Me and the family are planning a triumphant return "home" to Disneyworld after a way-to-long 4 year absence. We are shooting for Late February, and we are trying to decide between ALLSTAR MUSIC and CARIBBEAN BEACH RESORT.

Now I know at first glance it looks like an easy decision, but here's my conundrum: We ARE planning to spend every moment we possibly can in the parks, so i figured ASM would be a perfectly decent choice, and we could save a few bucks to spend in the parks. HOWEVER my daughter (7) saw the pools at CBR, and went nuts!

I don't mind spending a few hundred more for a moderate, IF we were going to be using the pools...but having never been in February/March...I'm not sure if it would even be warm enough to use them.

Anyone here regularly go during these months? Would it be "pool" weather? Or would I be paying the extra just to walk by the pools and WISH it was hot enough to swim?

According to weather.com, average daily highs for February and March are 73 degrees and 78 degrees, respectively.

That being said, February in particular can be too chilly for swimming! My sister's family went last year in February (from Upstate NY, mind you, so we're very used to bitter winter weather) and spent the week in 50-degree weather wearing pants and hoodies instead of swimsuits, forsaking Dole Whips for mugs of hot chocolate.

As someone who spends every second possible in the parks, I want every possible bit of luxury in my room when I sleep. I think CB will be quieter than the All Star. When I stayed at a value, the walls were too thin.

I've visited in both January and February. Shorts and tshirts to pants and jackets, it just depends. We've been able to swim, pools are heated, on each of our three trips during those months. Pack a broad range of clothes, layer and you'll be find. Happy travels.

The pools are All Star Music are quite nice. I stayed there a couple of times and thoroughly enjoyed myself. It won't be too cold for swimming. Save the extra cash and put it towards something really grand.

The pools are heated. I'm sure your daughter will enjoy it.

We stayed at CBR on our second trip and my grandkids HAD to have a pool day too even though it was late October and pretty darn chilly the week we visited mainly because of the wind.

Living here my whole life there is a very good chance it will be hot enough to swim at some point if you are there for a week almost guaranteed we have our occasional cold days but at some point you always get a day in the high 70s so I'd go for CBR if your girl went nuts over the pool

Take my advice, and choose Coronado Springs. It is absolutely beautiful, and has a great restaurant. It is by far my fave Moderate.
CBR is my least favorite moderate as well but I would choose POR as my fav moderate best theming and the pools are awesome can go fishing take a boat to DD or Disney Springs whatever they're calling it now lol CBR does have a great pool though I'll give it that

Oh, yes. We stayed at Coranado on our last trip. Fantastic place...however, our plan is to stay at a different resort every time we go.

So far we've done the Polynesean (Although that was before the children so that one is always up for another go around), Allstar Movies, and Coranado Springs.

Our next moderate will be wither Caribbean Beach, or possibly Port Orleans Riverside =)

Port Orleans Riverside blows Caribbean Beach away I think

Having stayed at both, I completely agree with this statement. CBR was okay, but to me it was just a place to sleep at night. The theming was generally weak compared to POR.

We have a stated goal of trying out all of the resorts, but when it comes time to book a trip we keep going back to POR.

Recently stayed at CBR. I don't know why folks are constantly it. We found it quite nice. The hidden away hammocks are the best! It is also kind of neat to stay at the first moderate.
