help with avatar

Hello will someone PLEASE help make and exaplin to me the whole avatar thing I really want one with tinkerbell and my screen name on it!!! that would be great!!!! and how I can change it one day etc my AOL screen name is Tink1885 if its easier to talk to me there please help me!!!! I'm so lost when it comes to this stuff

Uh-oh! I just tried to use it, and unfortunately it has to many bites.

I resized it...I can't remember the exact amount of space you are allowed for your avatar. If this is still too big, I'm at a loss of what to do, because making it any smaller will make it impossible to read and understand.

160 x 160 pixels and no more than 20k.
