Hi there, 1st time poster..im looking for help here from all you experts..we will be at MK & AK, possibly Epcot for the 17,18,19. I would like to take my 4 year old son to one Character Dining for atleast 1 nice meal. (We have a kitchen in the SSR room). I can only afford 1 meal, and we are vegetarians, so can you recommend the must have character dining experience? (Hes 4 yrs old and loves Mickey, Buzz.etc)....Thanks in advance!

The only one I can think of is Chef Mickey's in the Comtemporary. (just a quick monorail ride from MK) You will see Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, & Pluto. Sometimes Chip & Dale, Donald, & Daisy, but not Buzz. I've only seen Buzz in MGM now DHS. It's a buffet of course but the food is usually good. They are offering lunch now, so maybe you'll have luck with getting ADR for that. Crystal Palace in MK is Pooh & friends, Liberty Tree in MK I think has Mickey. The only character meal in ak is breakfastasaurau and not even sure if they still have that. It was Mickey, Donald + some others.
Character dining ADR's go quickly, so I'd call now!

Are you looking for breakfast or dinner?
DS is 3 and his favorites were Donald's Breakfastasaurus and Hollywood & Vine for breakfast. Chef Mickey's, Liberty Tree Tavern and Crystal Palace for dinner.

I'd go Chef Mickey's. Good selection of characters, and food. We took our 3 year old and 6 year old grand duaghter princesses in 2005. They had a great time, as did the adults.

We did the Pooh character breakfast at Crystal Palace in MK last Thursday morning, September 6th. We got an 8:10 am reservation. We have a 4 and 1 year old.

By 9:30, when we left, we had pictures of both kids with Pooh, Piglet and Eeyore, and our 4 year old got to march in parades with Pooh and Tigger. Then it was off to Fantasyland where all the rides had less than 5 minute waits since the rides had just opened.

This breakfast was definitely one of the big highlights of our trip, and the food and service were great too!

I take it that you are looking for this month....Oh god , I hope you'll be able to get some ressies...Just because with the dining plan, many things are impossible to get into last minute....well I would suggest Chef mickeys, for either breakfast or dinner, crystal palace with pooh and friends is great....Liberty tree tavern is great as well, for lunch or dinner, mickey and friends are there as well... Whatever you choose when trying to call, if there is a place you'd really like to eat and can't get in, try everyday, I did this for Le cellier for about 2 weeks ...I got in...

Chef Mickey's defiantly. There is great character interaction and the wait staff is great. It is convenient as well.

Wait your a vegetarian and your name is choppedliver? Huh? (although i've never understood the vegetarian views, could you possibly enlighten me?)
