You sound perfectly normal to me. Good planning typically produces good vacations.
I'd watch out for the overpacking, though! Pack up all of those clothes and lug them up and down your stairs and hallway a few times, for perspective. Then remove at least half of what you've packed.![]()
We'll be @ SS in 19 days! Our countdown is at 17 days also and I need to remember we will have a washer and dryer at Saratoga Springs so I don't need to pack nearly as much!
This sounds like a normal trip to me. I find that if I go crazy obsessing over every detail before I go till I know it backwards and forwards and checking (and double and triple checking) my lists to make sure everything is covered and all our needs are packed allows me to relax when I get to WDW because I know it's all taken care of and I won't have to make any unplanned trips to Walmart (the last thing I want to do when I get to the World).
I pack 14 outfits for 7 days-Help. My planning is getting a little out of control! Booking lodging 1 year out and choosing my dinging 200 days out and booking at 180 days isn't abnormal but I think my packing compulsion is getting really bad!
I have 14 vacation days not counting travel days. We are going to have a washer and dryer and my problem is I've packed 14 outfits for myself! I've also got a written list of the counter service places I want to eat at and snack locations are also listed. I've also got a Disney shopping list! Help I need less structure! or do I?
We call those buggies "Miller Buggies" because they follow us to every store we go, no matter where we are.I never go to Walmart if I can get it somewhere else, just the idea of having to push one of their buggies going clunk, clunk, clunk around that store sets my teeth on edge and would put a damper on our vacation. We were fortunate enough to have use of the little store at SOG for things like band aids and the like, we always made a stop at Publix on the way in too, anything to prevent a trip to the Walmart is perfect trip planning!
