Help! AOA - Finding Nemo Suite or 2 Little Mermaid Rooms?

Hi everyone!

I need help making a decision! We are currently booked in a Finding Nemo Suite for our trip at the end of August. It's myself, my husband, my 6 year old daughter, twin 3 year old sons, and we are bringing along my sister who is 20. I thought the suite would be perfect for us, and one of my boys who is autistic LOVES Nemo so that is great. But my husband just brought up a good point. Two years ago we stayed in the LM rooms - we had connecting rooms with his parents, so we would put the kids to bed and then go hang out in their room or sit outside until we were ready to call it a night. In the suites, it looks like we will need to hideout in the bedroom, and we can't go right outside (unless we want to sit in a hallway).

Should I swap us to 2 LM rooms??? I know they can't guarantee connecting rooms but we have gotten them everytime we have requested. Also, my in-laws are coming with us again and staying in LM, so at least we will be closer and perhaps adjoining. Then maybe we can save the suites for when the kids (more so the boys) are a little older. We can still spend time at the Nemo pool which I know my little guy will love (he was only 18 months when we went the first time).

Price isn't really a factor in this decision. I believe 2 LM rooms will actually cost us about $100 more then Finding Nemo because we are currently on the Memory Maker package and LM are not discounted. We don't want to move to POP (want the pools and themeing of AOA).

Any thoughts?

Thanks!!!

I'm glad I don't have to make that call, as I would prefer sharing a larger bed with my wife than what the LM rooms provide. I would try everyone hanging in the main bedroom after lights out for the kids, or one person on any given night be a designated babysitter while the others go for a night swim or stroll or drink at the pool bar (assuming it stays open that late, or there's even one there, at least one of the pools has a bar, right?) or whatever, and everyone takes a turn.

We were comfortable enough in the suites. The kids were konked out. We could still hang out in the living/dining room area without fear of waking them. But we were quietly watching TV/reading. If you're being more social, that might not work for you.

I wouldn't think it would be too big of a deal to walk through the room if you needed to get out. But I guess that depends on how much noise you're making and how soundly the kids will sleep.

Stay with the suite, your sister could spend some good quality time with the kids for a bit, isn't that what sisters are for:).

i would say it all depends on how important sitting outside is to you. the bedroom closes completely off and i rarely heard anything from the living room when i was there, so kids could sleep well. the living room is really quite comfortable for socializing, we indeed killed a bottle of wine amongst the adults every night. so that should be ok.
you actually feel like you have more room to move about in the suite compared to 2 rooms, and have a nice kitchen set up if you want a late night snack.
but you are right, you can't sit on a balcony outside. so that is the only down side i see for you. if it's not that important, i think you may enjoy the suite better.
and it is closer to everything- food, store, buses, pool, checkin, concierge, etc
