Hey, my name is Ben and I actually found this site when I was digging around a bit for info on the Muppets Whatnot Workshop. I'm a big Disney fan (which surprises all my friends especially regarding my age) who also enjoys autocrossing. I'm a corporate tax accountant in Connecticut.

My next trip to Disney is in December, and will be my first without my parents, and the first since I graduated college in 2008. I'm going with my bro (in the HIMYM sense) Eric and my two friends (married couple) Julie and Mike. Eric hasn't been to Disney in a very long time, and the same goes for Julie and Mike. Eric and I decided we're doing Disney "baller status" so we're staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge in a Savannah View Room, and just decided to go full on Deluxe Dining Plan. I'm VERY much looking forward to this trip. I'm actually quite excited because I have to empty out my "change loafer" in my apartment. In June or July of 2010, I finally decided that I wanted to go to Disney, and so I started saving change by rounding all cash purchases up to the nearest dollar. So I have two bowls worth of change at my parents' house, and I need to transfer those to a bag. However, I didn't have any change bowls when I moved out into my own apartment in October, so I've been filling a spare loafer with change. I'll certainly provide pictures in my blog, which I'll update today, and then update this thread with the URL later.

I'm a fairly active member over at WDWLive's forums, and also at CTSubie.com, a forum for Connecticut Subaru owners. I love legally racing my car (in autocross, as I mentioned earlier) and have an unhealthy obsession with Hidden Mickeys.

Here's a picture of me geeking out with Jedi Mickey in 2008:

And here's a picture of me doing my best impression of The Stig in my car at an autocross event.

I hope to get to know a bunch of you, and talk about Disney to keep my dreams alive in these cold winter months!

Welcome Ben!

If this December trip is your first time for the holidays, you are in for a treat. Be sure and read up on the various special events offered, making WDW even better than it usually is!

People just don't understand Subie love until they get one. Such a great car. And fun to drive.

Welcome Ben!

It is not my first time for the holidays, but will be for everybody else. Disney is about the only place I can put up with 24 hour a day Christmas music and not go insane (I'm Jewish).

Welcome Ben - you'll find the forum to be a great resource.

I'd hate to be the bank-teller that gets those coins when it is time to cash them in.

We'll be there in Dec this year as well and can't wait. :xmas:

Well, warm up the park for us!

I rolled all my change today. First, the loafer. It can hold over $75, in case anybody was wondering. Here's the total take:

$193.50

It took a couple hours. Saved a lot of time with the pre-rolled-bottoms on the wrappers. I think the hardest part is how heavy it is. I'm worried that it'll stretch and then rip the Zip-Lock bag it's in and will crunch my foot. It'd probably end up breaking a few toes!
