There was a thread on this 2 or 3 weeks back about Hugh Hefner visiting WDW to reopen Mannequinns. Well, it is true. It was on Local 6 today, February 3rd. He wasn't in town to reopen Mannequins, but just a small vacation. He was headed to the Disney MGM studios today to ride TOT and eat at the Brown Derby.

His company is hosting a big Super Bowl party up the road in Jacksonville (I don't know which night). Makes sense that he might hop on the corporate jet and fly down to visit the House of Mouse.

Yep there sure is a playboy partie here in J-ville. Alot of people are actuall conterfitting tickets to get into this. So im thinking that will be a cray thing.

Not the best role model......but one of mine anyway ;)

Actually, he can be considered a good role model. He has been very successful in life and has kept his magazine classy. While some may not like Playboy, the pictures are done tastefully compared to magazines such as Hustler and Penthouse. Playboy displays the beauty that is woman. :king:

Playboy Founder Visits Disney World
MIKE BRANOM
Associated Press

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. - At first, the contrast was laughable: Playboy founder Hugh Hefner, accompanied by a bevy of bunnies, visiting Walt Disney World. But Thursday afternoon, it was one American icon paying homage to another - Walt Disney.

The 78-year-old Hefner and his entourage - in Florida for Playboy's famed Super Bowl party the night before Sunday's game - said he and Disney have a lot in common. Both were Midwesterners who began their careers as cartoonists before founding their companies.

"I think he would have every reason to be proud," Hefner said. "I think he's had a very positive impact on the world. Disney and Mickey Mouse both had a tremendous influence on me when I was starting."

And both men have left their mark on the world.

"It's fascinating to see the impact of the global nature of the Disney phenomenon," Hefner said. "It's remarkable how universal the Playboy bunny is now - anywhere in the world."

Hefner, accompanied by four blonde girlfriends, said he had another purpose for his visit to the park. It was a belated birthday gift to one of his companions, Holly Madison, who sported a small Mickey doll on her hip.

"All the girls are Disney fans," Hefner said. "But Holly is obsessed."

As for the world's most famous bachelor, it's all about staying young.

"What has never left me, quite frankly, is the boy himself," Hefner said. "It is the connection to childhood. There are two 'Happiest Places on Earth:' One is Disney, and the other is the Playboy Mansion."

In my opinion, having a woman sprawled out on a silk bed naked in no way shows "the true beauty that is woman". However, I do agree with you that you have to give him some credit for being such a successful business man. I'm a very liberal person so I'm very supportive of people who do or say controversial things, but I wonder how long it will take people to start complaining about Hugh "the anti-Christ" Hefner being in a place for children?? :brick:

My friends and I were both working at the Studios yesterday, unfortunately we weren't able to see them and they didn't stop by my area either but I definitely heard he was walking around.

Hugh and his companions did make an apearance at the Great Movie Ride, and were reported to have a good time. ( I missed them by 10 minutes)
