Heeeelp!!

It´s not the first time that I encounter this problem: for instance, right now, when I log in, it reads that there are 38 new threads and 187 new posts for me to read, but when I click on "View New Posts", after the search is done, a message appears saying "Sorry, no matches for your search criteria, please try other terms" or something like that.

Why is this happenning? Is it only for me? I hate going board through board!

I use Prodigy, and it doesn´t happen all the time, but it has happened more than twice this week.

Grrrrr!! It happened once again just now!
I left for a while and when I came back, it said I had 17 new threads to read and when I clicked on "view new posts", it said "sorry no matches". So I had to go over the boards and I see there are new things for me to read!

....and I´m using the old avatar again! :lol:

Well.... it´s been happening again! Just now, it said I had 7 new threads to read and 7 new posts, I even see the icons in yellow in the left side of each board, but when I hit "View new posts", it tells me "sorry no matches".

Prodigy and AOL both use proxies that change the IP address that you appear to use to connect to web pages. An IP address is like a unique number that identifies you on the Internet. It is normal for these to change everytime you dialup, but AOL and Progidy actually change the identifying address constantly whilst you are connected by using a thing called proxies. 1. When you log to the forum you may have the address of 212.103.238.1

2. When the index page loads you then may have the address 212.103.238.2

The forum then thinks that you have logged off and logged back on, because your address has now changed. Therefore it resets your new post search.

This is the root of the problem, its more complex than the above in reality, but I hope that gets over the general concept of what is happening.

Another way of looking at it, is to compare it to phone numbers,. With Prodigy and some other ISPs, it is the equivalent of your phone number changing DURING you conversation with someone after you have dialled. It would cause a lot of confusion for the phone system! LOL

Its turned off for everyone. You can post photos in the Digital Media board.

How are we also able to share rumors and show pictures?


How are we able to show others are pictures from WDW?


Just wondering.

You may attach files using the FILE ATTACHMENT capability. Although the correct place to post photos is the Digital Media board.

Posting photos is not a Premium Paying Member only capability.
