Good morning all.
Been there. Done that.
Not at all sure about what I've done. :dazzle:
Morning Dottie

So. I have a question. I don't know a LICK about any of my local officials on the ballot. :o I know, it's awful. But when I go to vote, can I just leave those blank...is that allowed? I just don't feel right casting a vote like that...

Morning!

And yes...you can leave anything blank that you want.

That's a very common misconception. If you just wanted to go in and vote for the President, you could...but many think they have to vote for everything on the ballot...even if they know nothing about it except for the blurb written about it on the ballot or the few tv commercials or signs they may have seen.

No problem dear.

I know many a friend who have voted for things they thought they had to because they thought their vote wouldn't count if they left something blank.
I just would hate for my vote to count for something that I didn't mean it to or change something that others really DO have an interest in. (Not that I don't, but you know what I mean.)

Back from voting....quite a line, but one of the machines was down. Once it was fixed it started moving more quickly. I called DH and told him to grab a sandwich on the way to voting, so he has enough time. I don't know if it's statewide, but my precinct gave the option of either paper or electronic ballots.
