Hi Susan  Sorry you went into a panic about your mom - I would have been hysterical, I think. Glad it turned out fine.

Missed you too, hon! How was Disneyland? Actually, how was Cali in general? :animwink:
Disneyland was fun! It's odd... when you look at each ride, we have to say DL is better. Though, as a whole... it doesn't compare to WDW.
California was nice... Not somewhere I'd want to live (no offense Nicole). But it really makes me appreciate the beauty of Tennessee. San Diego was great though! Probably the most beautiful part we saw.

I'm planning on doing a brief TR for you guys, but I probably won't get to start it this week. I posted my weekend schedule yesterday... I'm beyond busy!

The house should be done November 1. (I haven't seen it since returning from vacation.) We close and get the keys December 1.

Only one couple has been in to see our house... :(
The market wasn't bad when we made this decision, not here at least and definitely not for a house in our price range. But then the whole economy mess got worse and getting a loan got harder for everyone and now... it stinks.
Oh yikes. Are you using a broker to sell it?
Oooh I have been wanting to try one!!!
Oooo you have to. Sooooo yummy :slurp:

Is that the same as a realtor? Then yes. He's doing an open house for us on Saturday. I just think if people SAW our house, it'd definitely be on their list to buy. The one couple who came through had nothing bad to say about the house at all. They absolutely loved it. They're just not serious enough to make a purchase just yet.

Suggestion: make a pan of chocolate brownies right before the open house begins. Then the smell of chocolate will just linger. :animwink: :slurp:

I just hope that helps...

We'll be okay no matter what. We'll make it work. Thank GOD we got out of debt when we did. We'll have no other payments other than our current mortgage and the new one. We'll still be able to pay the bills, but not to put anything into savings. And we already took out half of our liquid savings to put down when we made our offer (they wanted a larger amount since we were asking for them to make changes in building, specific to our wants).
And.. unfortunately, we'll have to get some help from my parents. They offered to pay what we would get for our current house on the new one, so we wouldn't have to get a second loan. Once we sell ours, they'll just get all that money.

Or Chocolate Chip Cookies would be good too. Either one would smell like home. Well not my home, but the idea of home.

Well that's good. But it would still be nice to be able to sell the house before moving, I'm sure. :)

What can I say, I hardly ever home to cook for myself more than a Lean Cuisine...eventhough I love to cook its just pointless for 1.

Ooh!!! Good calls on the treats!!! One of the houses we toured had cookies for us to eat when we went in...it stuck in my mind...we didn't buy the house b/c it wasn't what we were looking for, but it was a great touch.

That's actually my problem with cooking for WHF and I...b/c I don't want to waste a lot of food by cooking something really big.
