Great CM at MGM

I had a really great experience in 2000 with a CM at MGM. We were sitting down waiting for Fantasmic to begin and this guy dressed quite "nerdy" came and sat down in front of us. He started making conversation with the people next to him, making jokes and what not. Then he started talking to us. He asked us where we were from and when we replied, Toronto, he said he was glad we had traveled overseas! :) I though he was hilarious and it was a great idea by Disney to help pass the time before the show started. Has anyone else had this experience while waiting for Fantasmic?

Although most of my experiences have been wonderful, one really sticks out in my mind that still upsets me.

Last January we took my Uncle down who has Cerebral Palsy. He wears glasses, and as we were getting on RRC at MGM he asked the cast member if he should take his glasses off for the ride, as he had never been on before. The cast member replied "I don't care what you do," which was upsetting for my uncle. Of course we all came to my uncle's defense and let the CM know that what he did was extremely rude and he started arguing and saying my uncle was lying!!! I couldn't believe it. My poor uncle was soooo sad. As we left the ride we knew we should have let someone know about this CM and his behavior, but we decided to let it go and enjoy the day.

Uh, you sure it was a CM? I've never heard of that character before.

And I know where Guelph is! My marching band played for a university game there this fall, right before Canadian Thanksgiving! Go Griffs!

I'm pretty sure it was a CM, he was by himself and waaayyy overdressed to just be a guest. But, then again, I can't be 100% certain either. He wasn't there the last time we went in 2001 which is why I was wondering if anyone else had run into him?! (It would be weird if it was just a random guy, especially since he got up and left before the show even began!:lookaroun )

Yay, Griffs...the home of aggies, snow, and main research center for the West Nile Virus!! Hope you enjoyed your trip here, hcwalker16.

HC Walker I have a feeling we had the same Monorail Dirver once... this chick was very butch and rude... diddnt say a word.... except when my little brother asked her if it was fun driving the monorail...she said "No, its just a job" .... not disney... bad bad bad show

Yep, I think I had her a few months ago. It was just myself and a married couple riding in the front cab. The guy asked if she enjoyed driving the monorail and she was honest... She doesn't care for it much. Then went on to say some other things that really broke the "show" about how she honestly felt about her job and Michael Eisner, but I was really intrigued. I'm not much of an Eisner fan, either!
