We (I'm) having a baby due on 08/08/08 and was thinking we could still go to WDW in Sept. My parents were going to go with us but are not able too because of vacation time. I know without thier help the vacation would be very hard with 2 toddlers and a newborn. We love WDW and will probally go back in early Spring when baby is older. DH and I are a little sad but looking forward to a new little one. I am hoping my DS 4 and my DD 3 will understand as well, they keep drinking milk to get tall enough to ride "Scary Yeti Moutian."
So here is my question, we booked the bounce back for free dining last Sept for this Sept. All we have paid is the min amount due, I think about 200.00. Will I be able to get the payment back or apply it to a future trip? If I have to apply it to a future trip how long is the credit good for? I know I could call Disney and ask but you all are much better at explaning to me than they are. Or I can read better than I can hear with my kids in the backgound.
Thanks!

I'm pretty sure you can get it ALL back 45 days out, after that I don't know what the refund system is!

So sorry about your trip but you know that you can go again in the future AND you have a new little one to look forward...:animwink:

I wish you a successful pregnancy and delivery!

(Make sure you let us know when the new bundle arrives!)

you should get it all back. Disney packages are generally refundable in full up to 45 days before check in.

Congratulations on the forthcoming addition!

If you are more then 45 days prior to arrival on a vacation package, Walt Disney Travel Company does not charge a cancellation penalty. You would get a refund of the amount you paid minus any NON-REFUNDABLE components such as Vacation Insurance or select Airfare.

You may also modify you reservation anytime up to 45 days prior to arrival without any Disney change fee based on current availability and the deposit paid would move to new travel dates. Again, if non-refundable components were included change fees to these items may be charged by those providers.

Cancellations made 44 to 6 days prior to arrival will be charged a $100 fee. Cancellations made 5-0 days prior to arrival will be charged a $200 fee. Any changes made within 44 days prior to arrival may be charged a $50 change fee if the change results in a lower package price. If any change is made within 14 days of arrival a $10 special handling fee may be charged to cover overnight mailing of new documents to your Resort.

Are you SURE you want to cancel? I totally understand if you do - you know your family best. But if you have been before, it really is possible.

We took our newborn with our 1 and 2 year olds! (They are now 9, 8, and almost 7 with a 2 year old sister!) You just have to set your expectations low as far as how much you will get in each day. Those baby care centers are awesome - the whole family would spend time there several times a day! We also went back to our room every afternoon for a nap. I could go on with tips.

Anyway, I hate for you to miss your free dining, so you may want to at least consider it. My experience is that 8 month olds cry a lot more than 2 month olds. But I would hate it even more for you to go in Sept and wish you had waited!

Either way - congratulations!!! and have a wonderful time whenever you go!!

First off...good luck with the new baby coming, congrats to you and your family. You will get back the entire $200.00 unless you have insurance on your reservation. Insurance is non-refundable. However, if you make a big enough "stink" they will refund the insurance also. I could never understand why the insurance is not refundable, as Disney does not even pay for the insurance until you make final payment. Oh well, another way for the "mouse" to make money off of us.

Jp you are truly a God!

This is why we love you.

If you are going to change your dates or cancel, just make sure you do it by that 45 days prior. Good luck on your decision and Congratulations on your upcoming blessed event!!!!
