Have the love bugs arrived yet?

We are arriving on Sat and are hoping they've come and gone......does anyone know?

We were there the week before last, and I only saw a couple. My guess is that they were just getting started.

They were there last week. Not to bad around the parks, but driving around after dark with our car hit quite a few.

I just got back and yes they're there and in large amounts. I think I ate one.

Here now and yes the love bugs are everywhere.

Yeah usually the late summer/fall swarms are not as large as the spring. The spring ones are the worst!! We get them here at home too and so far it is not bad at all like we were earlier this year.

We saw a few while we were in Orlando the past few days - nothing like what we've seen in previous trips though. We're just south of Tampa right now and have only seen a few here too. They're pesky but harmless anyway.

not so harmless to your car's paint if you're drying your own. something in the love bug's blood causes nasty deterioration on paint. DH was a mechanic when we lived in florida and saw it all the time.

Theyre there and have been since early Sept when I was on vacation. They started to increase in number towards the end of our trip on the 10th. They're annoying.

Just got back on Friday and they weren't near as bad as the same time last year.

I have noticed that they are bad in some areas (mainly rural areas near water) but non existant in others this year I am sure that will change though. they will probably be around for a few more weeks
