Haunted Mansion

Did they, can they crank up the speed of the Haunted Mansion attraction?

Everything about it seemed faster, run to grab the Doom Buggy, the scenes seemed to fly by.
I used to sit back relax, take in the details but I can not anymore.

Am I imagining it?

Lol...Last time I rode it it seemed about the same. But I am not very observant.

The audio would have to be speeded up too wouldn't it. The chipmunks narrating wouldn't be too spooky.

It used to be faster but someone was thrown from the doom buggy and embedded in a tomb so badly they had to make them part of the attraction.

I went in 2 days ago and did not notice a difference. Might just be me though :shrug:

I don't think they could without significantly tampering with the entire audio track. The buggies, the Audio Animatronics, and the soundtrack are synchronized throughout the entire building and if the ride speed was increased everything else would appear out of synch.

I think it's a case of perception tied to familiarity; the more often you ride it the more you start to anticipate the next scene so it seems to come up even faster.
