I agree with you. I was mainly joking :D

I hate MS Word at times. And I strongly agree with you about there manuals. I wouldn't be surprised if in the manual for the next edition we see something like:

"DA paperklip iz de funie hewlper guy dat hewlps u with ur probwlems. Knot dat ull finde anie withe owr grate softeware ^_^"

I think I hurt myself

Perhaps it's time to go back on-topic ;)

My gosh...Paper Clip Guy. They need to have three buttons: "ask for help", "disappear", and "annihilate", where the paper clip guy would explode on the screen and never come back!:fork:

I've gone to "animate" countless times to see if it would eventually produce something like that last effect, but alas, no luck.

But if both sorta have the same scenes, can't you kinda consider the same storyline?

And I know there's no OFFICIAL story, but I like to think of the work of the Mansion CMs as official. This is a great site based on those stories.
And just as a curiosity for you to ponder: during Traditions, when introducing the attraction to us, our "teacher" mentioned the Master Gracey, bride and wedding ring storyline as the Mansion's tale.

Although Phantom Manor and the Mansion have similar scenes, Phantom Manor has a whole different story based on narration and characters. The narrator of PM tells the story of the bride who is being tormented by the Phantom. The Bride and Phantom appear all through the ride in a coherent story.

Sure, Traditions and the tours mention the bride and Master Gracey story, but they are merely passing along what they have heard. Ask an Imagineer, particularly one that has been around for a while. They will tell you that there is simply no story other than what guests and CMs have made up.

Was it during Traditions or during the "once upon a time is now....?" Because my instructor ('candy andy' :animwink: ) gave us a story that was really good..but it was only to illustrate the point that we had freedom as CMs to make up stories and preserve the magic...he ended it by telling us that he had simply made up the story and it was unofficial. He emphasized that there was no story and that he just wanted to demonstrate how a good CM would go the extra mile and make up stories to make a magical moment for a guest, within reason.

Yeah the scream is def just a reply to the hanging figure by one of the other "guests" just like the sounds in "Alien Encounter" where there was always that sarcastic guy for comic relief.

Right, you're absolutely right. In fact, Andy was my instructor as well. But to illustrate the whole CM freedom point, he mentioned several versions to the question: "What's that wire hanging from Cinderella's Castle?"

tru tru..you have no idea how many people asked me during PAC what that wire was for...I simple told them that's how Cindy got the Disney channel during her breaks...and I guess its true that most adults turn their brains off when they enter through the gates, because most of them just said "oh, that's so cool"!!

Yeah, I used that one, and "Peter Pan cut a line on the sky so Tink wouldn't get lost on her way down" and "it's a big castle, they need a long wire to hang all their laundry".
