Looks like some type of external stuco (spelling) work is being done.

No The Streaching room is not located there, It is just a false facade, the streaching room are on the opposite side of the Mansion building, thats where the manision connects with the ride building

How long will it last?

Any ideas how long the rehab us to last? I am going on Oct. 5 and HM is one of my favorite rides, I hope they are finished by then.

Actually Jamrc those are the stretch rooms the one covered up is Stretch 2.

No. The stretch rooms are on your left as you enter the building. This room that is shown is the "obsevatory" and it is actually on the right side of the building. The blue prints for the building show that this area is only for decor. It isn't real at all.

Yes that is true. I meant the side of the building is where Stretch 2 is located the tower portion. I went up there the other day and the greenhouse roof is gone just the window panes and the top most part of the structure are there.

I am afraid that you are incorrect the Observatory area is just a facade. the strech rooms are right as you enter the mansion from the back side, there is a smal portion of the mansion that is attached to the show building right at the entrance, The wall to the left of the queue as you enter the building is hiding the show building behind there. As for the observatory roof being removed has nothing to do with the streach rooms. they may just be replacing broken paines of glass or usuing it ti load supplies into the mansion area.

somewhere out there on the net is a diagram of the doom buggy layout showing where everything is in relationshop to the exterior.

This one will work. You can see that the first room you enter is the foyer (shown as the red circle to the right of the stretch rooms). The actual stretch rooms are the red circles on the left. All three of these also make up a hidden Mickey!

Funny thing... The area with the big black tarp is the area I saw being painted in January, during park hours. Was an odd experience, but the workman even waved to us.

Wonder what work is being done since the paintjob obviously didn't cut it.

No clue why they have that area covered. Thats why I posed the stretch room question.

FYI If anyone is wondering how I got these shots so close. I rode the riverboat around, and was on the topdeck. I just took shots from the topdeck while waiting for everyone to board, then I just ZOOOOOMED in when we went around closer to the Mansion
