Ok I know there are other posters who can visit the Mouse much more often than I can, but I just returned from my week long trip and after reading many posts both before and after the refurb was completed, I have my own notes.
-Stretch room sounds great. It's a cool "surrounding" effect but after much thought, I honestly don't think it was a necessary addition. Anyone else feel this way? I still feel it was plenty spooky the way it was. Maybe in this case simplicity is what's most effective?
-the bats sound worked the second time I visited the attraction but was absent the first time I was there
-new staircase very cool
-bride sequence - wow! Really spooky! Especially when you see her with the axe and she says "I did it"
-floating Madame head - very cool though when I rode the attraction the first time, I could see what looked like a long string or thin cord that was keeping the crystal ball suspended in mid air. This kinda disappointed me but when I rode the attraction a couple days later I couldn't see the cord.
-Ok here comes a Disney geek question - when I got toward the end of the ride and our ghost host tells us that a "ghost will follow you home" - it sounded to me that it was a different take then what was used originally. His voice had a much higher inflection. Anyone else notice this?
All in all I think they did a great job.
