Haunted Mansion Holiday: Gingerbread House

Disney parks blog has posted a sneak peek of the gingerbread house that will be placed inside Mansion. It looks really cool!

There will also be an edible Zero, made of fondant, that will fly around the house. Also, there will be a "ghost train", in which we'll be able to see through the train. The train will pass under the house.

Here's what Zero will look like.

Everything looks and sounds great! This gingerbread house looks and sounds even better than last year's. I can't wait for Haunted Mansion Holiday and I'll be purchasing some Jack Skellington items this year for Halloween. I always seem to miss them every year, but not this time.

Looks great. Can't wait to see it myself.

Missed Mansion Holiday in 2008 (not open yet) and 2009 (not around) ... but saw TDL's version in 2010 and DL's again last year. I love it ... something I wish we had at WDW and know we'll never get.

I think it's BS WDW doesn't have not only Haunted Mansion Holiday but any other overlay DL gets.

I don't buy the whole "we can't change anything because of the one time guests" excuse. Is it because TDO just doesn't want to do the overlays?

I love that every year there's a new gingerbread house that's completely different than the previous years. I remember in 2003? when Oogie Boogie was added to the Mansion he was also the gingerbread house but a second was made and put on display in the French Market. I wish they still made a second one for display I would love to see these up close.

I hope they keep that Sparky tombstone; I loved the original short when I was growing up.

I loved the whole HMH. This was only the second time I was able to see it. The gingerbread house was impressive. I just missed the one last year in January by one day. It was also nice to get a bonus viewing of Fantasmic while waiting in the standby line on Saturday night.

Only issue I had was that whatever was replacing the hitchhiking ghost was barely visible. Other than the pop-ups, I could not make anything out. The lighting seemed to be off, even after going through at night when my eyes were adjusted to darkness.
