Haunted Mansion Holiday at Orlando

I heard that they were really considering bringing the Haunted Mansion Holiday to Disney World. I have never been to Disney Land, and would love to see it. Has anyone heard anything?

Nope. I haven't heard anything yet. I would love to see HMH at WDW for two reasons:

1) I have no idea when I am going to make it over to DL. I've never been there. I'd like to see HMH since I am a NMBC fan.

2) HMH @ WDW means a nice needed little upgrade for our HM.

I AM NOT a Nightmare fan BUT I LOVE the HMH at Disneyland. I would love to see this at WDW. It's truely top notch!

Plus, adding the HMH is probably the only way the cheap mgmt team at WDW would be willing to fix the truely rundown shape the HM's sound system and special effects are currently in.

From what I heard from another forum member it was supposed to be coming to WDW in 2005 but it was diverted to Hong Kong. There is a possibility that I will be in WDW in 2006.

Hong Kong doesn't have a Haunted Mansion yet, so HMH will not be going there. The HM at WDW will be going down for a two month rehab in august until octber 1 ( the same time period that Disneylands goes down for HMH to be installed).

Don't be so negative! I'm sure it will make its way across coast eventually. I don't think it'll happen this year because I doubt they would have missed the opportunity to hype it as park of their 50th Celebration, new rides from other parks thing...

It might have been Tokyo. I have a bad habit of mixing the two up. Even if it wasn’t it might just be the decorations going over but a Halloween theme with no HM doesn’t seem right to me.

I sure hope you are wrong about the rehab in August through October. I'll be down in September and be mighty disappointed. That would be the second time it was closed for a rehab during that time period in the last 3 years.

K&K - while I know missing the HM on your trip will be a disappointment, it is REALLY needed. WDW has neglected this ride for some time now and it shows. Unfortunately when you travel in the off season (non - summer) there will be some rides closed. These closures are necessary to keep the rides operating at Disney standards (although most all will agree that those "standards" are not what they used to be)
