Saw this in person yesterday..took me by surprise. Was nice to see an unexpected update. RnRcoaster also has new "interactive" elements added.

They didn't have to do anything to the ride, it was fine as it is.
This is just a little fun something new at the end.

This is not unique, ET was unique. How many different ways can I see my name at the end of a ride?

They are getting their money's worth by value adding these attractions with interactive elements after spending billions developing and deploying MyMagic+.

Little things like this add to the experience in my opinion. I feel like it works well in the HM setting because it connects the ghosts to you directly and leaves you feeling a little bit vulnerable as you exit, which is how you should feel leaving a ride that tells you you're going to be followed home by a ghost.

I kinda hate it, for the same reason I hate the ending of Spaceship Earth. Writing a name on a tombstone is something any 14 year old with a laptop can do in Flash (or HTML5, or whatever they call it nowadays); it's an effect that is already dated on the day it premieres.
