Maybe P&R and the studios divisions could benefit from talking to each other. JJ Abrams made a point of bringing back practical effects for SW:TFA and get away from the George Lucas CGI of the prequels. Now it sounds like imagineers are trying to Lucas up HM. Bring back the classical effects of the original!

Yes bring back more physical effects! While I can appreciate CGI I think there is a point when it's just too unbelievable, if that makes sense?

Is there an option to superglue your child's eyes shut so they dont get freaked out by the darkness of the stretching room?

Haha, I used to scream my head off in this ride as a kid, this definitely would have helped my mother.

Update:
Just got back from our WDW trip.
My family and I rode the Haunted Mansion and the new interactive feature went off very well with my wife and sons.
(I didn't tell them about it before we rode.)
My Doom Buggy which I was in with one of my sons said "New Jersey here we come" in a frame as held by the ghost, and next to us the Doom Buggy my wife and son Jack were in, the ghost held a frame that contained my son "Jack's" name.
He was slightly creeped out, as was my wife.
They figured it out that it was the work of the Magic Bands within a few minutes after disembarking, but had a very good time with it.
