Hatbox Ghost returning?

I missed this somehow, but in my perusings of the internet this morning I saw a youtube video of the hatbox ghost in the Haunted Mansion at DL from 2012. Was this a permanent addition or just for Halloween? In either case is there any rumors of the ghost being restored to WDW?

On that topic is the Haunted Mansion movie still a go?

I can't tell what the link is as I had to use my phone since work blocks youtube. But I entered hatbox ghost 2012. The third down is a video entitles "Hatbox Ghost Returned DisneyLand 2012"

Wait wait wait, one of the last comments says it's a hoax video someone made.

Guillermo Del Toro got a bigger deal to make his Giant Monsters vs. Giant Robots movie at Warner Brothers, but he still has the project in development at Disney. I imagine eventually, they'll figure out what to do and hire a director that can sort of take what Guillermo has written and work it without him.

And I imagine the Hatbox Ghost won't be as huge a role as Guillermo would have liked. There isn't a whole lot you can do with him besides...his signature trick.

Oh, I wouldn't doubt that in the least. Probably have to contract it out. Seriously though how hard can this be? I have a feeling they were going to correlate it with the new movie however the movie, from what I have read, is sidelined.

The little teaser footage Guillermo showed at Comic-Con made me a little giddy, I'm not going to lie, the idea of an Eddie Murphy-less HM film makes me smile.

And I wouldn't disregard using the HBG as a main character for the film either- think about what the first movie did with Leota, Gracey, etc.

As for HBG showing up in the ride? I'm hopeful but I'd believe it when I see it
