When I first joined this site a few years ago it was a much more positive place. It seems like over the past year or so more and more of us are reaching our breaking points with WDW's incompetent management.

I know for myself, I was able to overlook a lot of things TDO was doing and still trust in them and love the parks. This becomes harder and harder all the time. It seems like every time you turn around around they are finding a new way to screw us over. Whether it is the horrible ending of SSE, the constant cutting back of pyro in our nighttime shows, the LoW, Pleasure Island, and now the supposed cutbacks of the new FL, etc...

Now it is beginning to seem like more and more people are getting on board with this wave of discontent. What I am curious about is, am I right? Are the majority of people on here sick of TDO?

I certainly hope so.

The reaction to LoW was quite definitive in how we were unified, and how we mobilized (sounds military-ish. Cool.) and let our voices be heard. Hopefully this trend of active voice continues and TDO is aware of how the parks should be run, and acts on them.

I don't view it as negative vs. positive.

More like complacent vs. concerned.

Being concerned about the mismanagement of the place is positive, IMO.

I agree, maybe positive wasn't the best word. Maybe optimistic or happy would be better. What I was driving at was that the posts more more about all the good things at the world, now it seems like its getting harder and harder to find the good amidst all this bad.

It has been along time since TDO was done anything above averege imo. Until then my views will not change. With that said Disney parks are still on another level than any parks in the world and I still love them.

I have been around this site for long time and if I have learned anything there is an ebb and flow to the dominant personality of the site. There have been extreme highs and equally as extreme lows. We are at an extreme low right now...probably the worst I have ever seen.... but as always there is a high in the future.

So much has been shut down without replacements and there is quite a bit on the horizon right now and that usually means quite a bit of pessimism and negativity. "Will the budget get cut?" "How can they get rid of X? It is my favorite thing in WDW!" "Why didn't they do X this way?" are in the title of nearly every thread. Once things start to get built...especially in FL....the tide will begin to turn and the personality of WDWMagic will become more happy happy joy joy again.

I agree for the most part, but there have been high points in the past few years. The thing is, there are detractors, too.

Assuming that the expansion is done properly, yes.

But even with the high points TDO rears its ugly head. For example Soarin a great attraction that they did nothing with the queue. SSE you know the story, EE and the Yeti disaster.

The thing is, how much of this on THEM? SSE isn't all on them, it's Seimens, too.

Regardless, there are too many things like this, that should have been done and fixed a long time ago.

You are a good person to comment on this, I have only been around the site for around 3 years, but I have really noticed lately a great deal of anger towards TDO that did not exist when I first arrived here.

Is this really the angriest you have seen the WDW fanbase? What are your feelings on what is happening at the world?

The thing, IMHO, that gets to the loyal WDW fans is the apparent lack of Disney management listening to them and communicating.

The Lights of Winter was the crowing example. Just discontinue a main centerpiece of the EPCOT Christmas decorations and then say nothing. The only communication to the guests was a vague Twitter statement about old technology.

It seems that WDW management is saying to the guests: 'We're WDW. We can do what we want and we don't have to explain anything to you. You just keep coming to the parks and spend money and keep the attendance levels up for the stockholders. We'll take care the internal matters, such as what attractions we chose to install, repair, refurbish, or discontinue. Afer all, we are a monopoly."

But TDO doesn't fix it. What is thier excuse for the Yeti and not theming the Soarin queue?

The Soarin' queue looks a lot like U.S. airport terminal tunnels leading from one area to another (with neon, music and changing displays). But isn't that what it actually is and what it's supposed to look like anyway? I don't see the arguement there. It looks like what it's supposed to look like.

It does'nt look like any airport I have been in. Why not have a few scenes set up. Like Security check point on the line. Where the line splits you could pass though a fake medal detector or body scanner. Thos big screens could play a film to make it look like a window at an airport, with plains taking off or landing. There couls be audio like in Star Tours of arriving flights.

Since when does Disney HAVE to do what guests say? If someone walking down the street says they don't like your shirt are you going to change it to make them happy? No. So just because some people don't like certain things about WDW doesn't mean they are going to go out of their way to change it just for those people. It's "Take it or leave it" for people that will appreciate it.
