Hehehe...yeah, I'm an IT person, so sometimes I sound a little technical :-)
I also hear, that you have to show them your card before you order from the menu? The weird part is, we haven't got our Magical Express tags yet, or anything about the dining plan...maybe they give this info to you when you arrive?

Thanks a bunch

Hi there what info were you specifically looking for on the dining plan? We tend to have the most up to date info right here actually but I dont know if Disney actually sends something out or if you get a booklet or whatever at check in. Belle

Good or Bad?

Many have said this plan was good and many bad! So what is the deal? Someone who knows how should do a poll or something?! I would like to do the DP but I get mixed signals from people who have tried it.

When you arrive at your resort to check-in, you will receive your Key to the World cards, as know as your resort ID cards. Encoded on this card is your room key, your Magic Your Way Theme Park tickets, your meal plan entitlements, and if you choose, room charging privileges.

Your Magical Express luggage tags will come separately from your other travel documents. The Magical Express tags are expected to arrive about 5 days prior to your arrival date, no more.

Hope this helps! :sohappy:

A question...

It seems to me that everyone who has heard about this plan thinks it is a great deal (as I do) but that nearly everyone who has tried this plan has had problems. My question is, with your meals, do you only get to choose from a specific set of items off of the menu. I understand the snacks are limited to specific items and that children must go off of the kids menu, but other than that can you order anything off of the menu...even the most expensive lobster and steak meal?

In General the lobster items have become sides at the participating restaurants so they are not technically "included" in the plan at all. As far as steak, yes my understanding is that you can, as there isnt a limit on the menu of the participating restaurants. Once again NOT all of the sit down restaurants in Disney do participate but a lot do and ever since the last round of new inclusions ( most of the EPCOT places have joined into the program) I am quite pleased by this package offer. I am an Annual Passholder and may not get to take advantage of it, but I think it is a great option for the people who can!!! Belle

Many of the places are buffets or all-you-can-eat family style service, so everything is included for everyone. At other table service restaurants, it's easy to tell or you can just ask. We were really amazed at what was available, and the plan worked great for us. (you can read my report up in the thread).

In general, I think people who used it early (Jan, Feb) were less satisfied than those who have used it more recently. Our trip was in March and it was great.

And in response to another post - we didn't have to show our card, but we did tell the CM that we were using the MYW Dining, in case there were any special restrictions (which there never were).
