We're going to Orlando next week and were thinking of doing the Monorail Pub Crawl. Has anyone here done that or have any info on it? We've done Drinking Around the World at Epcot and that was fun, but we want to do something different...and perhaps a little tamer...this time.

I have! It's not that bad nor that hard:

Contemporary - Outer Rim Bar

Grand Floridian - Mizners Lounge

Polynesian - Tambu Lounge

We also stop by the Wilderness Lodge for the Territory Lounge or the Trout Pass pool bar.

Not hard once around the loop, but the fun is to see how many times around you can go

Never knew about the Monorail Pub Crawl, but I'm not surprised because I'm not a drinker. I've heard talk about a "smell" thats lingering in the Monorails. People try to explain the reason for it. Maybe now I suspect I know:hurl::hurl::hurl::ROFLOL:

If you've done Drink Around the World, the Monorail Pub Crawl is a walk in the park.

I am a tiny guy and clock in at less than 150 pounds, so I'm not very good at either one of these challenges. :(

I've done what my wife and I like to call "beers of the world" at Epcots World Showcase but never this... sounds awesome!

It's not exactly a wild night, but it's fun. I like to start in the Wave lounge, then go to the Kona Island Sushi bar for a drink and a volcano roll, and end at Mizners. Alternately, ending at the bar at Narcoossee's could work if you'd like dessert with your drink.

Yeah, there is something about bein a lil tipsy and hoppin on a monorail. :ROFLOL:

Yeah, us locals call it "Drinks Around the Lagoon". As some others have said - if you want a tame night, just do the three main hotels. To kick it up a notch, take the boat to Wilderness Lodge and then Crockett's Tavern at Fort Wilderness. All depends on how much fun you wanna have (and how much money you wanna spend)... :p

I do this each trip, though I would hardly call it a crawl. Always nice visiting the other hotel bars for a bit. Each one brings back memories of different vacations.

Personally, I would substitute the Wave at the Contemporary for its environmentally friendly wine selection. Its the only one of its kind on property, isn't it?

But yeah. A backscratcher at Tambu . . . an old fashioned at the Grand Floridian . . . and suddenly it really doesn't matter if someone is in front of you for the Electrical Parade and the Wishes fireworks take on a new dimension.

This is one of our favorite activities. Though we have never referred to it as a pub crawl. It is a good way to blow of steam. It takes us several hours to do. Typically having a drink or two at each bar ( including pool bars). We typically don't get drunk either. There is enough time between drinks and we typically are not throwing back like college kids at a kegger. Try it you'll like it.

This is the first I've heard of this - sounds fun! I've done the drinking (and eating) around the world. If I didn't have food I don't think I would have made it. I doubt I'll be doing anything like this now that I have a little one in tow - but I'm glad I now know what it is. :D

Thanks for the insights everyone! I appreciate it. Any additional advice on the best spots, as well as best drinks, appetizers at each would be great!

Like to start my trip with a monorail ride around the lagoon, we do the monorail crawl and get off at each hotel for a drink in their bar, then head to California Grill for dinner. There are 10 of us heading down for Marathon Weekend (the group keeps growing), and I just sent a shout out to everyone about a potential Monorail Pub Crawl on Sunday night..

I've had the backscratcher but not the others. Thanks! Definitely intrigued by the environmentally friendly wine!

The last time I went to Narcoossee's, you could purchase a yard of beer. Do they still do that?
