JIMINY CRICKET
- "Pretty, huh? I’ll bet a lot of you folks don’t believe that—about a wish coming true—do ya? We’ll I didn’t either. Course, I’m just a cricket, but let me tell you what made me change my mind. You see, the most fantastic, magical things can happen, and it all starts with a wish!"

I still have the planning DVD from like 2012 in my car. I used to play it in the car DVD player all the time because the kids wanted to "watch Disney World." It used to make me get teary-eyed. My kids haven't requested I play that DVD in a few years (now that is also making me teary-eyed )

There's only ONE film that ever made me cry. The problem is I can't remember what it was.. I think it may have been Gravity? Or maybe the last movie in Harry Potter with Snape's story.

I'll get goosebumps and "weak" during some films like UP, CoCo, or more seriously - Saving Private Ryan. But still no tears.

And then there are those movies that dig deep into your brain and don't let you forget them. Inception, Dark Knight, Curse of the black pearl. Barbossa's death had me in this category. When the dude was finally able to feel, taste again, he gets a shot to the heart. Not even enough time to bite into his apple :(

To jump back into your question - I really like the new intro to Disney movies with the castle and "when you wish upon a star". No tears but it falls into the second category for me.

Happily Ever After doesn't have an intro like that?
I'm sorry, it's been about two years since we've been to MK and I haven't watched a video of the new display.

I get a little tear in my eye when I watch people’s surprise trip “reveal” videos.

So happy for them, and wish that my kid reacted like that.lol.. I surprised my kiddo with Disney last year, kept it from him until we arrived on property.. his reaction- “cool”...and then asked if he could go back to sleep :cautious:

Gawd I love those!

Always remember in contrast though that one where the kids were so disappointed that they weren't going to their uncle's instead of Disney World or something like that...

Oh, for Disney movies, it's Pixar... they kill me. Coco, the end of Monsters, Inc., Toy Story 3, the beginnings of Finding Nemo and UP (that's just torture). And their own, too, of course. Hunchback (after the Feast of Fools). Old Yeller (my goodness). The fake-out ending of Beauty and the Beast.

But the one thing that gets me absolutely every time is Lava. So much, that I can't even listen to the song without sobbing. Damn you, Pixar!

The beginning of UP is brutal.

The first night watching HEA (previously Wishes) would always make me emotional. And then, to bring everything full circle, the last night watching the castle show would really have me sobbing. I hate leaving..

The cause for the creation of this was me finally getting to watch martin's communicore video.
It's been a while since I last "visited" (aka watched) communicore so I got the biggest wave of nostalgia one could ever get. That plus defunctland's bear in the big blue house vid = nostalgia heat wave.

I cry at the end of coco lol

I watched Coco with my 6yo on a streaming site, one that lets you rank what you're watching so they can make better recommendations of other things. It was just us because the first time she tried it, it was too much, so we watched something else while my wife and eldest finished it. But finally she was feeling brave enough to watch it.

By the time we were done, she's weeping openly, but with a giant smile on her face, shouting "WE ARE SOOOOO GIVING THIS MOVIE 5 STARS!!!"
