It actually already started a few weeks ago behind Revenge of the Mummy.

This was pre pre construction in the form of utility upgrades. It will eventually be the area of the "switch" for the trains but were still in the set up phase. The entire resort is seeing massive tech upgrades behind the scenes as well as drainage upgrades over the 6-8 months.

Also that map was featured in the latest employee newsletter.

Just an FYI, we should see the closure of the Midway games in the Lost Continent as well as the demo of multiple structures outside the LC entrance to The WWOHP soon.

The offseason is upon us, let the games end. Several midway game team members have been relocated to other areas of the park and walls have gone up around one of the large game structures. It's gonna get a little ugly over here for a few months but in the all will be realigned.

What about the windows? Will they be screens? I'm confused.

In a word, Yes. This is a brand new tech being used in theme parks and is VERY VERY expensive. According to some the initial tests went well but caused motion sickness due to the field of depth and imagery being shown.

Oh wow! And any insight on how the train system will work because will people who get on the ride at Universal Studios will be able to park-hop to Islands of Adventure for free? Or will they be restricted to just the WWoHP section of the park? Hmmm...

I doubt people will be able to park hop for free. I think there are three possibilities, each with their own sets of pros and cons.

1. Kill off the One Day, One Park ticket or at least severely under advertise its existence, essentially making it one big park.
2. Require admission to the other park to experience the attraction. This though always makes the attraction in the park you are not in, a perk only for guests with a multipark ticket.
3. Place the entire attraction outside of both parks, in a sort of "no man's land." This would allow anybody to enjoy it, but those without a multipark ticket would either have the option to upgrade their ticket or get back in line for the journey back.

It's a great theming opportunity... a true train station ticket operation.

No. Much more advanced.

Will people be able to experience this attraction in either direction? In other words, can you board on the IOA side and take it to King's Cross or is it a one-way experience available only at Platform 9 3/4. If it is available in both directions, will the ride experience be different depending on which way you go? If you don't have a park hopper, will guests be able to ride it back to their original park essentially making it a round-trip experience or will only those with a park hopper be able to ride? There are so many variables to consider with this thing. Exciting times indeed!

From what has been said it will be a different experience for each direction.

One of the games has been removed. The henna/palm readers are moving into that spot. The rest of the LC games are staying for now.
