Harry Potter screening

This past Friday morning, our local WB station in downtown New Orleans, gave away tickets to the screening of "The Chamber of Secrets" .

So yesterday was the free screening at a local theater (The AMC Palace) and as an adult, I enjoyed it, as much as the kids in the audience. I really love seeing movies in an auditorium-style theater such as the Palace. The screen is wide, wide, wide, and it's a very comfortable viewing experience.

It was bitter sweet seeing Richard Harris for the last time as Prof. Dumbledore. It will be interesting to see how they recast the part.

For fun, if you haven't already done so, log onto the Harry Potter web site and have yourself "sorted' . I'm in Gryffindor. :)

They just let you in? That's odd. I had to get a press pass, so I could just have some chit-chat with the stars. If you want some to see some of the pics I took, check out www.totallyrandomstuff.com/hp/CoSPremiere

They're from the NY Premiere yesterday. I'm the blond hair'd kid with the glasses. There're two candid picss somewhere. If anyone has any questions about it, post 'em here, or send me a PM.

Hello Ian....

The movie screening here was nothing compared to the super movie premiere event that you attended. Thanks for the link to the great photos.

It was just like any other free movie screening, sponsored by some local TV and Radio Stations, and no fanfare at all.

So, tell us about your day at the premiere, please.:)

I can't wait to see it! I'm going on Friday after work.

I LOVE Alan Rickman. I thought he was the perfect choice for the character. :king:

I'm surprised for so many people interested in "magic" that no one's checking that out ..... remember, it did make $964 million dollars last year ;)
