OK, I know you're here; might as well admit it.

How many of you have read all four books at least twice, seen the movie three times, are looking forward to Thanksgiving for the opening of the second flick rather than turkey and football, and have been sending threatening letters to J.K. demanding that she finish Book 5?

Personally, I'm a 21-year-old college senior and I LOVE Harry Potter! In fact, I dig Harry almost as much as Disney! :lookaroun

Let's hear from the other Potter-philes around here. (Or any of the folks who think he's corrupting the youth of the world, too. I'm open. :animwink: )

Well, I love Harry Potter books, but I've only read them once, I'm afraid. I read all four while on vacation for a week last year. I own the DVD (but not letterboxed :( ), and I'm looking forward to the next film in the fall. :)

I have a stuff Hedwig here at the desk, and a golden snitch around here somewhere!

I'm a new harry potter fan lol I actually thought it was pretty stupid, but then I was forced to watch the movie, which I thought was awesome, so I started to read the books and have watched the movie many more times. And yes I want to see the new one :)

Well.....I guess we can let that one go, since you have the DVD. I have the VHS and the DVD.....and I don't have a DVD player! (MAN, I want to see those deleted scenes!)

Favorite characters, anyone?

I think I like Dumbledore best; he's such a maverick, and he always manages to tie things up nicely.

As for least faves: Dobby the House-Elf just gets on my nerves.

Erika-

You listed a Ryan! Wrong thread! LOL! ;)

Well, my teacher friend (24) is hooked (she gave me the Hedwig, I gave her a golden snitch), another teacher I know is hooked, I got a third teacher hooked, and my college roommate and her husband and two of their friends who are "older" are also addicts!

Just the other day I asked my boyfriend if we can go see the new Harry Potter movie when it comes out, and he said, "Sure. Is that on Friday?" And when I told him it wasn't until a few months from now, I could just tell he thought I lost my mind. I tried reading him the first book, but he fell asleep. He tried reading me the first book again, but he fell asleep. :( Now when he complains of insomnia, I tell him to read Harry Potter and let me sleep. :)

SEE?? It's just so addictive! I was ready for movie #2 as soon as the credits started to roll on the first

Wasn't JK in a difficult place financially before she began the series? It's always nice to see somebody turn her situation around like that.

Our entie family is hooked on HP. We have read the books twoce, (except of Goblet of Fire) and watched the DVD many times. We were disappointed in the "deleted Scenes" as the special feature on the DVD because they were so short, but it was fun finding them on the disc. Each time we go the a movie, we hope to see a HP trailer for Chamber of Secrets.

*readily admits her HP obsession* I AM Hermione *giggles*... okay I'm just a book worm.

I started reading them when my mom did (she's a library media teacher so got started from one of her librarian friends) and I found them great.

Only thing is.. HOW do you find the deleted scenes on the second DVD...????? :( :( I can't find them.
