We can debate the value of any given event all day long, but it really doesn't make sense to argue about it or get upset with people who disagree with one's opinion on this because value is all about perception. Everyone has a different way to determine value. No need for "hate" for posts that don't replicate one's opinion.

I hate when people try to make excuses when disney flagrantly tries to rip people off. They justify it by saying o well this costs this much and that costs that much. It still doesn't make this any better of a deal ITS STILL A RIP OFF!

So you hate it when people look at what they are actually getting for the price and try to determine if it's a good deal. We should all just take your word that ITS STILL A RIP OFF. This is a discussion. Not everyone will agree. Why not tell us why you think ITS STILL A RIP OFF instead of shouting at people. What would be a fair price for the offering? What should they change to make it a good value?

How can you possibly say it is a rip off when you have not seen the show, or seen or even sampled the food and drink. For all we know at this point, it could be an absolute bargain.

Here is the point. It may be a good deal...It may not. Each will have to make that choice for themselves. You do not have to pay for this if you do not want to. I have been to several events that cost extra at Walt Disney World, like Party for the Senses back in 2012. It is a high priced ticket and to a very limited event. Still I enjoy it and willing to pay the cost. It does not take away from others enjoying the parks without paying for these events. So I do not see how Disney is riping me off. I made the choice to pay to attend the event and enjoyed it enough that I will be going back to Party for the Senses this year. I am sure I will give "Harambe Nights" a try on a upcoming trip.

One might argue that PftS used to be a much better value. And now, with the price points they are charging, for what you are getting, might be construed as a rip off. Just because you pay to attend, doesn't mean you can't leave feeling ripped off.

To your point on Harembe Nights may or may not be a rip off. We don't know yet.

We stopped going to Party for the Sense because we didn't feel the value was there any more. I don't begrudge @DVCOwner for partaking this year, nor will I be waiting outside of the Festival Center with a tire iron to beat my financial values into him.

I guess I don't get objectifying subjective matters such as value.

I won't being using a tire iron either. Impractical for the application. Maybe brass knuckles or a pocket knife....

Have you done the 3d Dessert party thing? Now, that was a rip off. IMO. And if you don't agree, I will be using a nail file in a nontraditional sense until you do.

I have and I agree. It wasn't worth it at all. I was more impressed by the meat and cheese tables than the desserts.

Now the Sunday morning chef thing (can't remember what it's called at the moment) was great and well worth it.

I hate when people act like their opinion should mean anything to others without backing it up with facts. Your opinion alone means jacksquat.

Everyone else has brought factual information to the discussion, so why don't you? Or is your argument just 'I DONT LIKE IT SO ITS A RIP OFF!!!1111'

How dare you use logic and reason on these boards! Hyperbole alone is acceptable.

So this as of right now is a limited time engagement correct? It would seem to me that it might sick around full time with it's success so far. I hope so as I would love to go next trip .

Yes summer only.

Here's hoping for a extension :) But if not I am sure Mickey will offer some other cool thing to go to so he can take my money. I really like the after hour events at WDW I have been to in the past, they are a great way to cap off a day to me.
