Thanks again guys:)

Hey Rob, yep I used to be on the University of Oregon crew team. But I had to leave the team when I was asked to join my schools UofO Gospel Singers. I loved crew but music was where my heart was, and our trips ended up being on the same weekends. I miss crew a lot though.

I was stroke seat for a while but we lost some guys so we ended up dropping to a 4 man team and I moved to bow. I even was a one day when we didn't have enough guys to fill a boat (we always had issues with getting guys to join at our school. I think the early morning practices were a real turn off). That was an awesome day. My boat loved me. I renamed our shell the Love Boat and even sang the theme song over the Box, lol:lol: . Sure my team didn't win that day, but we where the funnest boat on the water:D . Anyways, I sure miss it, but oh well. I'll be in Florida in 2 weeks and having even more fun, lol.

***TOTALLY OT***
Now that this thread has been derailed :)lol: ) I can can add that my husband is competing today, rowing bow in a double. Then rowing in a single. And maybe in the quad or eight if the club doesn't get enough people to fill the seats.

And this goes on every weekend until Thanksgiving! Atlanta next weekend, then Agusta the weekend after, and I can't remeber the other one; he already competed in the Miami race.

My daughter coxed for a season. The early morning practices and regattas on Saturdays got to her, plus it interferred with her ballet during the week.

Her HS has a VERY active crew program now; they have to try out for positions! Time to get her little brother on the water! ;)

***PLEASE RESUME THE ORIGINAL THREAD***

BTW, I also know how to row a single, but don't have a competive bone in my body, so am not interested in competing.
