Happily Ever After dessert party — yay or nay?

We will be there NEXT Thursday (yaaayyyy) and are wondering if the HEA dessert party (Plaza Garden option) is worth the $112 for both of us? This will be my husband and mine's first time viewing it and I want to be able to see the projections really well. With it being a Thursday in mid January, do you think the crowd will be unbearable in the hub area or tolerable? We are both tall, so we have that working in our favor! Having a really hard time with this one — my heart is saying yes but my head (and wallet) are both saying no!

I treated my mom to HEA dessert party this summer with the garden view and it was amazing. The chance to sit down in the grass and watch the show without anyone blocking our view was spectacular. The desserts were a nice treat but it was the view that made it worth it for me.

Thanks for the responses! I'm sure the viewing area perk was lovely, and since it was summer I'm assuming the crowds were probably pretty high? I guess my main concern is, would it be a waste of money since it's a Thursday night in a "lower crowd" part of January? I'd just hate to get there and see a crowd that's not jam-packed and worth paying the extra money to avoid.

I’ve never been in January so I can’t say on that part. I’m a teacher so I only know high crowd trips to WDW. I do think for a one time treat you won’t regret it but I also think if you try it once you may never want to leave your hub grass life and go back to standing with the crowds 😂

We went (when still Wishes) for my 40th birthday. I am SO glad we did it. I wanted to be able to see Wishes and not worry about finding a place to sit with a little one and the stroller and loved having the garden area to sit and relax and watch them. Do i think I got the dessert value, no. You can enjoy as much as you want which is great. And everything is yummy. But I found the value in having a place to sit and enjoy watching the fireworks. :)
