Hangout all day with Disney character

From what I understood, he was somewhat of a special needs person. He would come and go from the forum because he thought people were making fun of him. I'm sure that's why he doesn't frequent them anymore. Sadly, it wouldn't surprise me if he had taken things too far at some point and got banned from the parks. I hope that's not the case.
I actually saw him in the parks many years ago, I would have to guess some time around 2015? I saw him in the Hollywood Backlot in DCA taking some pictures of that truck with all the boxes of fruit. I remember noticing because he always wore fedoras and I saw someone wearing one while taking pictures in a very awkward stance. I remember him on the boards, I always felt bad for him because he was definitely on the spectrum so he didn't intend to make anyone uncomfortable, but I do remember how much he talked about the face characters being his friends and how he would take some people's comments as attacks even if they were not. Hopefully he is doing well.

As for the question, Stitch was my favorite character to meet and is still my favorite Disney character, so I would have to go with him. At least it won't get boring with all the hijinx he would get up to throughout the park.

I've been thinking about this for a while. Outside of the Main Street horses and Slave Girl Leia that Disney disowned, I'm going to have go with the Hitchhiking Ghosts because they can hitch a ride on any attraction.

Wait, 1962 Annette Funicello was an option?!

Yes, please.

That's Early 1962 Annette in that video. She also appeared later that year at Disneyland's Golden Horseshoe as Late 1962 Annette. She might be an even better choice for you.

I honestly just want to use her charms and ability to get us an invite to dinner with Walt, plus a swing or two around the Tomorrowland dance floor. But if you have other things in mind, I value your diversity. ;)

@chadwpalm @CaptinEO @Phroobar I know this post is a bit old and I'm bumping it but, in regards to the person who took pictures with the princesses, I believe I may have an update! I watch a Twitch streamer who used to be a face character in Disneyland, she played Cinderella. She was on a podcast with some YouTubers I watch who they don't interact often with so they were talking about her time at Disney as Cinderella and she mentioned about how around 10 years ago there was a guy who would go to the parks and always take pictures with all the princesses and that he thought they were his friends. That already sounds a lot like him, but she mentioned that he would always try to kiss the princesses or have the princesses kiss him and how it would always make her and her other face character CMs extremely uncomfortable, which again sounds just like that old user. But she ended the story saying that he got banned from the parks for life because of his actions with the princesses. She said she didn't think anything more severe than the kissing happened (not to downplay the situation at all, I feel awful for all the princesses) but just that enough of the CMs complained and they finally just told him he wasn't allowed in the parks anymore.

I was so caught off guard hearing this story because I knew the streamer worked at DLR before (her name is QTCinderella because of her time at Disney) but she had never mentioned this guy on stream before, at least not when I was watching. So when listening I heard her story and immediately knew who she was referring to and then I remembered he was brought up on these forums. Also sorry if I annoyed you by tagging you 3, I just thought it was crazy hearing her story for the first time and knowing exactly what she was talking about and I wanted to share!

That's a great story. That confirms that Capt. Hook wasn't our imagination. That guy is kind of legendary for his face character antics and his behavior on RatChat. Thanks for posting that story.

I cannot imagine having to be in that position and work as a CM and have people constantly be gross to you all day, or the same person be gross over and over.

Glad you enjoyed! I was pretty young when I used to lurk on MC but even I knew how creepy those interactions were, in the candid photos between poses with the princesses I noticed discomfort on some of the princesses' faces almost every time he posted, sadly. Definitely a sad update since he had to get banned from the parks which sucks, especially if he's on the spectrum and it's one of his favorite things. I wonder how he has coped with not being able to visit his "friends" anymore, I feel bad being so curious but I can't help it, almost like how the internet is with Chris Chan.

I should try to post on the streamer's Discord or something and let her know that the guy she talked about was actually infamous on the forums, I think she would get a kick out of learning more lore since she only knows him from her personal experience and her CMs' experiences but we only know him from his own accounts and recollections / "trip reports" he posted on the forums.

She spoke more about this but she said that 10 years ago face characters didn't have a handler with them at all times or at least not in her experience so sometimes she would have to ask the guest she was meeting with not to do something or ask parents to make a child stop all while she was in character and polite. She did say that modern Disney seemed to be doing a lot better with it before COVID ended the meet and greets when reopening, which is good to hear (she doesn't work there anymore but had friends who still did before the pandemic). But yeah I can't understand how people can put up with that stuff, my guess is because the good interactions (hopefully) outweigh the bad ones for them.

Closest relatable thing I can think of was when I worked at GameStop for a bit there was a dude who would always come in and just talk to my manager on his lunch break almost every single time I worked. He would come in with really smelly Del Taco every single time and would just basically stand and eat / talk to her across the counter with her when it was empty in the store. I don't know how she put up with it, she said she felt bad and didn't want to make him sad but some days I could tell she was over it.

Oh man, I hope there's an archive of his photos somewhere because now I'm super curious if he ever took a photo with the streamer while she was in character 🤣 The main thing I remember was that Anna and Elsa were his favorites when Frozen came out and he would go to their meet and greet all the time.

EDIT: Just realized you said his pictures are still there. I will have to comb through them after work!
