WOW! I can see taking out Mr. Crocodile 'cause frankly, it's kind of a lame song. I was suprised they even used it in the first place but i'm really surprised to hear they removed Malificent's scene.
CURSE YOU BAD ECONOMY!!!

Illuminations has less shells than previous as well. I know the show inside and out and last week when I watched it there were definate changes that dumbed down the show from just a year ago. Hate cut backs. :(

I haven't read the entire thread, but went to 3 MNSSHP's this year and was chatting with someone at the first show and told them maybe it was shortened due to weather it was windy the first night, but when the other two nights it was the same show it was a bummer I really like those two parts of the show.

What was different?:(

Less shells. The music and length are the same but the ammount of shells shot off at the same time have been greatly decreased. They used to light up the sky everytime they went off but now only a few go up at at time. I know they changed the colors of the fireworks to match the action on the globe but I guess this meant cutting back on other pyros as well.

I was watching Hallowishes from the Epcot parking lot, too! Though I can't remark on the cuts, as I have never seen it before.

I did notice that Illuminations did not have as many shells as usual. Can't really say where, but it just didn't have the same impact.

Coulda been the barometric pressure was skewed

Shortages, not cutbacks.

Ok, so 26 main shells and 12 Fantasyland pieces were cut from the Crocodile/Hellfire section for a total of 38 less pieces.

26 main shells were cut from the Maleficent section along with 54 Fantasyland pieces.

A grand total of 118 less pieces. Most being launched from Fantasyland (1.4g).

may I ask what parts of this thread made you cry???

sorry...I just like to pry. :lookaroun

btw...has anyone else started a bi-weekly trend of writing letters to WDW Guest Relations to express disappointment about something they've done recently?

I know that my emails alone won't change anything they do...but maybe if enough people are writing to them...
that the maleficent part is gone and that it is shortned i love those fireworks lol

Leaving for Disney in a few hours. Finally getting to see Hallowishes for the first time on Thursday and it's a shorter version now.

Which would folks rather have: fewer fireworks shells or increased prices (ticket, food, merchandise, etc)? Of course, the easy answer is "neither" - but in the current economic climate, that's not realistic.

My personal choice for cost saving would be to do away with free dining, but that's just me.

I totally agree with you... GET RID OF FREE DINING.....PLEASE.
