Halloween

Hello all,

We will be at Disneyworld 10/27 to 11/3. Kids are 5 and 11. This is our 6th trip (almost all of them the same time frame) and it will be our first time NOT doing MNSSHP. Since we will be down there on Halloween, any ideas of other activities going on, especially ones for the kids?

Hoping to try something new and I can't wait to hear all of your ideas!!!

THANKS!

Downtown Disney used to have trick or treating, but they will not be doing it this year. :( There will almost certainly be Halloween activities happening at the resorts. Be sure to check the daily activities and times guide when you arrive.

Also, you may not be attending a MNSSHP, but you could still go to a monorail resort and watch the fireworks. They even pipe in the music and narration to go with the fireworks!

I'm sure the resorts will have something. Also, movies outside and roasting marshmellows (i know at PO - not sure where you are staying). There is also a hayride you can take at FW.

We will be staying at Saratoga Springs and are DVC memebers, so maybe we could check out the top of the world lounge at BLT.... Hallowishes might be neat from there. Hoping to get some sort of trick or treating in since the kids are a little bummed (but not too bad as we are at Disney!) that we won't be trick or treating at home.

I think there maybe some halloween activities over at FW Campground, I would check into that. If nothing else you could tour around the campground because I know there are many, many campsites that go all out in decorating for the holidays. We were there a couple of years ago in Sept and there were already numerous sites decked out to the nines for halloween. Lighting displays, sound effects, etc.

Ooh, I always think of FW for Christmas decor, but they do go all out for Halloween too. Good idea!

Fort Wilderness- It is amazing to walk through the campsites near Trails End and see all the fall/Halloween decorations. We have done the pricier horse and buggy tour and also the hayride (I think is $7 per person) and the hayride is great, you see so much and it is so fall-ish feeling. You will love it!!
