Halloween Party questions

I know hours aren't posted for October, but based on last years experience by anyone here...
For the Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party,
If MK closes at 6 and we have a dinner PS for Liberty Tree for say 5, 5:30 or even 6, could we still walk around a bit when we get out to peruse shops and sights without wristbands? We know we wouldn't be permitted on any rides after 6 which is fine.
Our kids are too young to get moneys worth out of the extra hours as they'd burn out at 7 or latest 8, since we plan on being in the park the whole day.

Yes, i believe if you reservations at those times you are still allowed to stay and eat there, but you must leave after you are finished. Although I think they stop reservations at 6.

Reservations for all table service locations in the Magic Kingdom will stop seating at 4 pm on event nights. Guest with tickets to Mickey's No So Scary Holloween Party or Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party can make reservations at Tony's Town Square Restaurant or Liberty Tree Taven for seating times after 4 pm but will be required to show their event ticket at the podium upon arrival. The Magic Kingdom promptly closes at 6 pm with one land remaining open only for guest with tickets to that night's event.

Hope this helps! :sohappy:

Will Liberty Tree or Tonys have a different menu or different characters during MNSSHP?

We went last year to Liberty Tree and there was no menu. Everything was served family style but it was great!

The characters are dressed in costume and they played tricks on different tables. A good time.

The only negative aspect is the amount of time it took. Count on at least an hour.

Have Fun!

Yep, the menu is the same one they always server, halloween or not.

We've been doing LTT for 4 years now. And this years will be our 3rd MNSSHP visit. It always takes a long time, with or without the party going on. Actually, it seems like we get seated fast on party nights.

Either way, it's a great place to eat, and the fun factor is even better on party nights.

Have fun!

hey all,
this is a little off topic, but related. alex just found out from work that he might be going to a conference in orlando the last weekend of october. i was wondering, how far in advance do we need to plan for one of the mnssh nights. do you guys think it's wise to plan before since we don't know for sure if he will be going, or can we wait for a few weeks?

thanks,

Tracy

Another question....I know that if you pre-order tix to MNSSHP you can get them a little cheaper than gate price. Does anyone know if there is a cut off to that? Like if I was to call the day before the party and ask for the tickets to be held at will call, would I still get the discount?

Thanks!

That is strange what JP said, unless I am misunderstanding him....which is a definate possibility :) . We have ressies at Cinderella's castle for dinner on the night we are doing MNSSHP. We have ressies at 4:30, so I am planning on getting to the park @ 4pm, get our wristbands...eat dinner, and hopefully be out around 6, so we can head off to whichever "land" ( usually TomorrowLand) is open and ride some rides before the 7pm "crowds" arrive.

I think what JP means is that the restaurant closes to "regular park guests" at that time so they can get them out of the park by 6:00p when the park officially closes for guests not attending the MNSSHP, but if you have MNSSHP tickets you can get ressies for after 4:00p, but must show your tickets when checking in for the dinner. I was able to get 5:30 PS at Tony's for the night we are going to MNSSHP on October 7.

Does anyone know what time you can get in if you are not already in the park on a party night? We were not planning on using one of our park days that day. I understand that the park closes at 6pm and the party does not start until 7pm. Does that mean if you are not already on the park you cannot get in until 7pm or if you have a party ticket will they let you in after 6pm? I've never been to either party so don't know how this works. Thanks

Not sure about the Halloween Party, but for the Christmas Party we were able to get into the park about 4:30. I would think that they would be the same. I have heard of people getting in as early as 4:00.

We've arrived before 6, and sometime between 6-7. They let us in both times.

How to get into MNSSHP early...

Well, I just bought my tickets for MNSSHP for October 30th :sohappy: and I made it clear to the CM that I don't have regular park tickets that day, just the party tickets, and then I asked what was the earliest seating I could have for Liberty Tree Tavern and she said 5:30 PM. That may have just been the earliest she had available but she did say that with my PS reservation # the CM at the park's gate would let us in early in order to go to dinner, even without regular park tickets.

I asked her like 3 times just to be sure so my recommendation to anyone who wants to go into the party early and won't be using regular admission tickets to do so is to make a PS reservation as early as they allow you to and then arrive at the MK gate about 30 minutes before your dinner reservation. That way you won't get to the gate too early and not be allowed in right away. You can't go wrong, early admittance, a nice dinner at a sit-down restaurant, and then your off to enjoy the rest of the park!

By the way, I still haven't made hotel reservations for my stay. I am a Florida resident but can't seem to find FL RES discounts for Disney hotels during that time. Does anybody have any suggestions or know of any specials? I would prefer to stay on-site but any of the WDW Resort area hotels like the Hilton, Swan, etc. would be fine too. I usally use Priceline for off-site stays but I'm hoping someone here has heard something about late October specials.

By the way, in case anyone is wondering, we are dressing up for the party. I'll be Snow White, my DH :king: will be the Prince, of course, my oldest son will be one of the dead pirates from POC and my youngest son will be wearing the Winnie the Pooh bee costume.

Monica -

Just to let you know - at least in previous years - the MNSSHP tickets are hard-coded to begin working at 4PM, regardless of if you have dining ressies or not. One would assume this is to prevent a crush of people from entering at 7PM on the nose. So if I were you I'd show up just before 4, and have time to get an attraction or two in before dinner. Maybe the HM, since it rarely has a long line and it's in the area anyway (and will be VERY crowded during much of the party).

Good luck!
