While I don’t agree - I think an updated presentation that features Presidents only up until a certain day could be a solution. If you go up to George W. He could record a new speech, and then some of his paintings could be on display as part of the attraction.
The only way this works is if you end at Nixon and present the show as it originally debuted.

I'm not sure that taking the one black guy out is a good look.
That certainly wasn’t what I was implying - the reason I went to George W was because of the paintings - if the company will display his paintings and promote them they obviously don’t find him to be an issue?

That could work - Washington didn’t speak in the original correct? That would be the only change I would root for.

No, not really. Inaction is also action, in this case.

Keeping the attraction is too dangerous, and Walt wanted the country’s problems to be left behind at the park/resort gates.

The only way this attraction is dangerous is if the animatronic presidents come to life and start killing the guests but I guess if that did happen Disney could market it as a new Westworld attraction.

"dangerous"? Because some audience members jeer or cheer? Seriously? Talk about hyperbole.

The only thing that actually will draw bad PR for the company is closing the attraction. Otherwise, any "problems" (which really are pretty much non-existent anyway) just flies under the radar as business as usual.

My concern over Muppets coming here is I’m not convinced they’d actually make a good show given recent Muppets content. I don’t want to leave the theater like

Not many seem bothered on who were the staff assistance of George Washington in his personal home.

That's the thing. Folks like Washington and Jefferson would certainly still get criticism if they were included in a truncated show.

Honestly, a show that has anyone other than Lincoln and maybe John Adams would be criticized by some. And by doing any changes, Disney opens itself to criticism of "why did you make this decision but not that one" and so on. Keeping the attraction the same is the "safest" thing to do in that its already apolitical and completely inclusive with no picking and choosing. Any complaints can't really be any more detailed than "should this attraction exist?" and the answer is "yes".

Muppets Omnimover with them trying to recreate different moments in history:
Starts off with the Boston Tea Party before moving into the signing of the Declaration then we go into a few important battles, the ride of Paul Revere, the first US president being elected, etc.
That sounds fun. I think they should put it in Epcot.

I know you didn't mean it that way. It's just that if you chop it at W, he's the first one you're eliminating so I don't imagine they'd do it.

There really isn't a president you can end it at that will make it not feel old and just like they stopped updating it. Clinton would make sense otherwise - just end it at the end of the 20th century.

But if the muppets version could be like the former puppet show outside the theater it may be fun. Maybe eliminate everyone after Nixon and do that? Or maybe go back to FDR?

I mean we joke about this a lot but they're eventually gonna have to do something here. It will eventually get to a point where there's too many AAs on that stage, they won't be able to do the name reading anymore, and the whole show will have to undergo a major structure change anyway.

I don't know that Muppets is the best option available, but it's something. As is, I only think this thing's got a few more election cycles left in it, if that.

Honestly, what if they rush this out if they are in too deep for monsters replacing muppets

If HoP ever closed, I know we say a lot of Disney attractions could end up in the Smithsonian, but HoP would definitely fit the criteria, or somewhere in D.C. at least.
American Adventure 100% could. Its Legitimately art, and no other attempt at genuine American history and patriotism can and will touch it at wdw. I think it’d be better for HOP to go more on the fun side. Also sidenote if they even DREAM about closing the American adventure, I will chain myself to it
