Haircut Costs on Main Street?

According to AllEars it's $17 for adults, $14 for children 12 and under, before tip. (Which is within $1 of what I pay at home...)

It's walk-in only, no appointments. And if you're charging your haircut to a card or room charge, be aware that the barber shop has no facility for adding a tip to a credit card/room charge payment. (Apparently its register system is part of the Emporium's, which is classifed as a merchandise location, and not a tipped service location) So be prepared to tip in cash if you're charging it.

MY boys (including my husband) always get their haircut on mainstreet. It's amost do on each trip. In fact both of my boys first haircut was at Disney. The hair gel is included in the haircut.

Last time I got one, which was in December, it was $14 for adults and $10 for children. Plus, they do a lot for a child's first haircut (they give the kid a mickey ear hat and certificate). Considering some of the prices of some of the other barbershops around here, that's not bad at all.

I'd just go later in the day, in the morning you can end up waiting hours.

It may be a fun experience but how well do they cut hair?? I trust my barber, but dunno if I would trust anyone else.... My hair cut costs me $14 now.... I used to pay 20, plus tip... I may think of going for a cut in October.. $20 bucks will be spent elsewhere anyway...

It really is a fun experience. Perhaps you should try it at least once. I live about 20 min. from Magic Kingdom and, heck, I could get a haircut at Wal-Mart right across the street and save time and money, but I prefer to go all the way to MK, with TTC Parking and Monorail and all, just to get a haircut. If you time it with the parades and you can see it outside the windows, it's really neat. And plus there's a guy there called Michal who almost ALWAYS cuts my hair. He's an awesome guy and good at cutting hair. And plus if you're a guest, you can get the colored gel or pixie dust and it'll make your day that more fun.

(Now granted I can't say too much cause I get the CM discount at $12.:lookaroun But it's still worth it full price. There's a lot of magic happening in that Barber Shop.:animwink:)

Im probably leaning towards getting it done. The girl who cuts my hair here does it for free so I usually get it cut the day before I leave!

The haircut was decent last time I was there, better than some of the ones I've gotten at Supercuts over the years price is reasonable considering what everything else in the parks costs that was actually almost a real price. It was a cool experience to.

I got a haircut there last December.
The barbers are regular barbers and they don't rush things.
There can be a bit of a wait because it's first come, first serve.

BTW- My barber charged me only for the kids rate because I don't have a lot of hair now. So I tipped her well.

I had NO idea that this could be done. I might just wait for my 15 year old to have his hair cut on our trip instead of before we leave. Thanks for posting!

My kids (including my nieces, nephew, and husband) start refusing to get their haircut about 2 months before we go. They say "it can wauit until we get there".
