Gunshots fired in Universal CityWalk's parking garage...

Anyone who doesn't think that there is more teenage, or shady activity going on at City Walk is suffering from a case of ''Confirmation bias'' themselves.

There's more activity of every sort at CityWalk than DTD, so that's to be expected.

It's not necessarily a case of Universal vs Disney, but most teenage to late 20's (the people who are normally involved with the criminal activity) don't think Disney is cool.

Such people could be found in both places back when they actually had a reason to go to DTD.

Gunshots fired in Universal CityWalk's parking garage
by Leah Zanolla
Jan 5, 2012

Gunshots were fired overnight Monday, January 2, in Universal CityWalk's parking garage. Orlando police had been called to the area around 2:40 am to check out an argument in progress between several males. As they were on their way, they heard two gunshots come from the same area.

Police found three people hiding in a car and then held them by gunpoint until backup arrived. A fourth man had fled the scene; officers caught up to him near Major Boulevard. Trevor Shillingford, 24, was found with a .45 handgun in his pocket, along with a small bag of marijuana.

According to the suspects, Shillingford and his cousin started arguing in the parking garage, which led Shillingford to fire one shot into the air and another at the ground. According to cfnews13.com, police charged Shillingford with discharging a firearm in public, possession of marijuana and other weapon violations.
Hope nobody was hurt.

Well considering how DTD has been closing all of it's good stuff in the past recent years...

That's my point. When the clubs were open at Pleasure Island, there was no shortage of problems there either. Like Rowdy said, this isn't a Universal vs. Disney thing.

Please. You cannot blame clubs on violent activity. It's the club goers. Haven't you ever heard the NRA mantra?

Please. Posts like these are completely stupid.

Would there be a club without club goers? No. Would there be club goers without a club? No. It's irrelevant. Point is, there's clubs, there's club goers, and there's problems that come out of it.

People who visit Islands of Adventure are more likely to ride Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey than people who do not visit Islands of Adventure.

Ahh c'mon...where's your sense of humor?

I take it you've NEVER heard the NRA mantra.

It's not a "Bump" if the most recent post was less than 9 hrs ago, and the thread itself isn't even a week old yet. Give it a rest.

Yes, but your post added nothing to the discussion, meaning you only did it to bring this thread back to the top - a claim you will handily deny, but anyone else who's seen your recent dealings (or your confession about trolling Universal boards to dissuade people from vacationing there) will find quite believable.

That said, as they say, don't feed the troll. Let this discussion die and it'll sink to the bottom. If you engage Crockett any further he'll just have an excuse to bring it back up to the top. (And if he decides to post a response, I won't do the same.)

I'm sorry, but if anybody that can be dissuaded from vacationing at Universal by simply reading a forum they should be able to decipher who is a troll and who has legitimate news.

Let them decide for themselves. We are not here to make people minds up for them.

Sorry this thread got so off topic.
Let's get back to the subject at hand --people pulling guns on each other inside Universal's parking garage after a full night of intoxicating beverage.
