In regards to clothing, there was a social media post recently on a girl going to a Disney theme park wearing a bit revealing top. Instead of denying her a day at the park, a Disney cast member assisted in supplying her with a free Disney T shirt. How accommodating of Disney instead of escorting her out of the park.
Yep and she posted a tik tok stating a hack to get free clothes at Disney is to wear something not allowed. She’s scum, but Disney enables trash now. Can’t get any bad publicity!

There have been 2 different instances of this on social media over the last few weeks. They both got a voucher for up to $50, but one of the "guests" wanted a $75 spirit jersey and got a manager to approve it.

There was another post of someone complaining they had to get a free t-shirt. Um, she got a free t-shirt out of it. It seems she didn't know about the hack because if she did she wouldn't have complained.

Maybe with this video Disney can start justifying why they're 'pricing' these people out of taking vacations to WDW?
Based on some huge generalizations I made to myself on my most recent trip last week there is simply no credence to the fact that the "middle class has been priced out" of Disney. People of all income levels are showing up.

That's just rewarding the rule-breakers...not exactly a wise move.
With regard to the clothing issue, while it is repugnant for this woman to turn Disney's goodwill against them, the extra empathy cast members generally display for those ignorant of the rules or those who planned poorly is part of what has gained them a reputation for creating magic. I don't think this incident should stop them from assuming good intentions from guests in most cases. Now, something like the main topic of this thread is another issue entirely as it represents a huge safety concern for everyone aboard the ride.

I would have agreed with you even 10 or 15 years ago, but social media has become a means for people to share ways to be sleazy...and the ones who end up paying for it is the honest people.

I mean, I guess, but it's not exactly a hot tip to pay the huge price of Disney admission just to get a "free" t-shirt that probably only retails for a third of the in-park price tag. Also, I don't know about you, but I would personally have to go actually buy some revealing clothes to partake in this scheme.

My guess is that those who would take advantage of it would already have the clothing necessary.

If Disney is going to do something like this, then I think they should give them the choice of what is basically a trash bag with holes for the head and arms (not a fancy rain poncho), or to leave the park, no refund.
