Our travel-back-home date is approaching! We had a wonderful week with M’s family, including a surprise 90th birthday party for her grandpa and a baby shower for her cousin.

We are in our hotel near the airport and tomorrow we are flying First Class for the first (and probably last haha) time. Let’s cross our fingers that Ida doesn’t disrupt our plans tomorrow. Or not, because this hotel is nice and I wouldn’t mind having to stay here an extra night.

We are home! We made it in yesterday JUST before Ida became a big problem in the area (if you Google Newark Airport flooding you will see what I mean). Luckily we are on a slight hill so our street didn't flood, but many parts of the NYC area had horrible flooding.

I am getting the photos organized and hope to get this report started soon. I will of course post the link here when I do!
