And what seemed like would never end and countless perfect opportunities to switch to standby and 1002 days later...that finally concludes the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind Virtual Queue system and Boarding Group distribution!
It has been a real pleasure to keep track of the VQ progress for the last almost 3 years!!

The standby line will finally open tomorrow on February 25, 2025 for all guests, with the option of LLSP for an additional charge.

Scatterplot of all the VQ drops for the last 1002 days. After about a year since the ride opened the afternoon 1pm drops were constantly staying open long. Something changed around the new year of 2024, either BG allocation, size, etc. From there the data is very sporadic but some trends still are persistent.

I personally feel like it will usually be lower than FOP due the height requirement, nausea, size of epcot, and better attraction alternatives in EPCOT vs AK.

On the flip side I think there will be more interest in riding multiple time a day due to the song alternatives, especially for people that only have 1 day at EPCOT, etc

so will be interesting to see for sure (and obviously it will be artificially high the first couple of day)

Side note, once TT 3.0 opens there should be good spread for crowds at rope drop at EPCOT with 4 rides of interest to people and then two entrances to the park potentially dictating which rides they target, etc. Will be interesting to see patterns develop

It's not even the longest wait in the park. The RAT has a 45 minute wait.
There is a large amount of EE guests that get to go through the IG.
From this random awesome website I found... https://c.touringplans.com/walt-disney-world/hotels/number-rooms#gsc.tab=0

Pop, AoA, Boardwalk, Beach club, Yacht club, Riviera, Caribbean beach, Swan, Dolphin, and Swan reserve = 11,726 rooms out of the total 37,014 (~32%). Also add in the fact that these resorts have walking or skyliner access to EPCOT, I'm guessing a higher % of them make it to EE vs the bussed in resorts.

So about 20mins to regular park opening and Guardians with only a 50min posted wait time, less than Remy's and that is with Frozen currently down

Overall it has the 11th highest current posted wait time at WDW (Tiana's is also currently down)

Lots of low wait times so guessing after the holiday week last week this is a pretty slow week so good time to make this change

@gerarar As an admitted big detractor of the attraction (because of fit and story - not the ride) and the VQ, thank you for doing this. It's an amazing thing for a person to do on a message board like this. You should be proud of putting together a very robust, yet easy to understand, data set all this time. Thanks for being an awesome member here. :)
