You should have seen it today when the power suddenly went out for around 2-3 minutes and we were in complete pitch blackness.

Was a fun ride (yup, the story line is nonsensical and disjoined) but the visuals looked way better than I expected. With the car turning this way and that the feeling was, um, unique and I can understand why some people might get motion sick - although there was no one with the infamous barf bags at unload. I'd imagine if you were tripping and rode Space Mountain it would be like this 
The really weird thing was the backwards launch didn't even seem like we were going up... felt like it was level!

Anecdotally speaking, I’ve not seen any CM’s with and sort of bags at the exit. Not that I’m sure they’re not around, but they’re definitely not standing there looking to hand them out to anyone that seems queasy.
For those worried about motion sickness, sit in the front. Rode in the back tonight and it really whipped you around, I loved it.
As a side note, rode for the 5th time tonight. Out of the 5, I’ve had 4 songs. Good stuff and can’t wait to keep riding.

How do you get 5 rides in one day? I thought the VQ limited you to 1 per day. With an additional ILL, that would be two.... Not sure I follow how that works...

I've seen videos from youtubers. I still don't understand the 'story after they get on the ride.' The majority of the time, the camera is so unfocused I really can't see anything other than lights. But since I probably won't be going to Disney anytime soon (missed out on DVC previews last trip) YouTube is all I have.

On our recent trip I skipped out riding one day due to an excruciating headache. Instead, I went through the entire queue up to the load area and was then escorted out the side door to wait for them to finish the ride. I walked up the stairs and sat on a bench and simply people-watched as I waited for my wife and son to exit after they rode. One of the best things to observe is the look on everyone’s faces as they exit: all smiles, all laughter, talking about how amazing that ride is... except for this one older woman. She sat next to me for about a minute while her husband stood next to her. After a bit she looked up at him as he asked if she was okay. She happily responded “yes I’m good, and glad to have ridden so I won’t ever have to again.” Lol! I can see how it could be a bit much for some people. All in all though, great attraction!

Thanks, that's great to hear about all the people enjoying it. I'm genuinely sad that the lady you mentioned didn't have that same great experience, in fact she had quite the opposite. However for my entire life theme parks have often had attractions that not everyone was able to ride, it's not a new phenomenon and it is unfortunately what it is. We see numerous testimonials on here from people saying they can ride Everest and Rock 'n' Roller no problem but Seven Dwarfs makes them sick (or other variations based on those rides).
At the risk of being accused of shutting down the discussion, I'm really not and will say this. It may be a design fault where at certain points it's not a great idea to face direction x whilst travelling in direction y, whilst a projection grabs your attention at angle z? It may be that some people just can't handle the movement regardless, with not very much that can be done about it like numerous other attractions that have the potential to create motion sickness? Not being a doctor or an expert on motion sickness, it's difficult to say whether the potential for motion sickness could have been eliminated whilst still providing the experience Disney wanted to? As you say the majority of guests were saying how fantastic it was, this was of course the original aim when it was created. Again this isn't the first Disney attraction that can create motion sickness and probably won't be the last. It's a thrill ride that isn't designed with the idea that everyone can or should ride it, it's up to individuals to make that call themselves.
