I'm not a big coaster person for multiple reasons but Everest isn't really intense/scary. I've never been on Rock and have no interest in going on it, but Everest is fun.

The only real issue with Everest is the part where it goes backwards -- that gave me horrible motion sickness last time I was on it, to the point that I may not ever ride again.

I felt sick on it in October, first I've ever felt like that! We both did. Honestly I think it was because it was hot, we had on masks and couldn't feel the air on our face - it makes a big difference.

This is actually why I chickened out of Hagrids. I don’t get motion sick really at all it’s just I haven’t done a coaster that goes backwards. That is probably going to change though.

Like I said, hope this can break me out of my shell.

I don't know what made me so sick, but it was awful. I actually ended up going and laying down on the former Rivers of Light seating for at least 30 minutes before I was able to even get up without feeling like I was going to throw up.

Going backwards did not feel that much different to me. Of course, I had been on the Racers at Kings Island when one side ran backwards. The thing with Hagrids is that the backwards section is over pretty quick and I did not have issues with motion sickness (have had trouble on some rides). Thankfully, it is also smooth and doesn't beat you up since you cannot see what is coming.

My biggest concern with GotG is how aggressive the spinning will be. I have no interest in riding spinning coasters but, if it is more controlled to focus you on a specific, I should be okay with that. If it is like Time Traveler, it will be an easy "no thank you".

It will be a unique ride system that is not only new but will incorporate features from other coasters.
Think of the ride system used by Universal for the first Harry Potter ride. They uses a different ride
system to present the story in a new way.

If you plan on riding Tron you should definitely ride Hagrid's. It has a few different items, backing up and the drop track, but the
ride system is similar. Tron appears it will have less theming and you are going to be pretty much out there. (at height)

Forbidden Journey? because it sounds a lot more like Escape from Gringott's

I think the ride system will be very similar to Time Traveler personally, and I definitely wouldn't categorize it similar to Forbidden Journey. How intense they make it (the spinning) I think is up to them and programming.

You can do it!!

I did Escape from Gringotts for the first time on my last trip, and that was really fun. So slowly but surely I’m working on doing more and more.

I personally love Time Traveller, it has to be one of if not the smoothest coaster I’ve ever ridden, for those that haven’t ridden it think velocicoaster smoothness.

But I think an important distinction is that it’s system is unpowered. The only real rotation it gets is from the initial station drop (magnets on one side that “grab” the metal plates) and the first launch (again magnets).

I don't think it will be much like Time Traveler. My understanding is that it won't spin the way Time Traveler does; the vehicles will just occasionally change orientation so you're looking straight at whatever show scene they want you to see.

Which is why I said the system would be like Time Traveler. How much they choose to spin/rotate being another matter.
