The impact of Spaceship Earth's lighting really is quite significant. Is it just like this when it's on full blast during certain parts of the show, or is there this much bleed when it's performing its calmer ambient animations as well?

Also, some of the closeups Bioreconstruct has are making me think the split down the middle of each of the larger wings contains an LED strip.

I love how so many people jump to conclusions regarding unfinished work

People kept telling me the Polynesian porte-cochère wasn't finished, Disney couldn't possibly think of leaving the underside painted that ugly beige color, the sacks of lighted balls as permanent light fixtures or the the plain cement columns & steel support beams the way they were... but here we are.

Is that project done? I haven’t seen any reporting on the finished product.

Many of us thought they would paint the Skyliner support towers - outside of the couple of green ones in World Showcase.
I believe the support that this ship is on is finished.
I don't believe it is going to be shrouded in cladding, and I believe doing so would make it more obvious.

haha what Kool Aid were drinking to think they would paint hundreds support towers for a mass transit system?
It's incredibly clear that this not the finished product considering you can see the bolts and this is an easy way to climb the thing leaving it like this, literally Legal would go insane

While I don't believe / hope that the box support is the finished product, I think we need to recognize dates on the concept art.

People were suggesting that the concept art with the visible themed support was the newer of the two pieces of artwork. I have that piece as a 2017 piece of artwork with the other piece as a 2019 piece of concept art. Shown below:

Who was suggesting that? It even says the dates on the bottom.

I think they're planning to put something else on it.

It's just that it's still going to mostly block the bottom wing of the ship, which is poor design.

I still think this will get themed but you and others are correct that Disney is starting a bad trend with the Polynesian, the Skyliner towers, and the barges.

Disney has gone from a company that worried about every little detail to a company that says “good enough” far too often. That’s very troubling.

A few lighthouse surrounds and the skyliner becomes a visual addition to Caribbean beach rather than industrial columns in the middle of a resort. Some faux painting and replicating the fake woodwork they’ve previously done hundreds of times and the Poly entrance takes on a completely different feel.

New Disney/Imagineering is lazy.

Or way too constrained by budget cuts from their original vision.
It's worth noting that we were never given any indication that anything planned for the Skyliner was cut - the concept art always showed unthemed towers.

It's a bit of a stretch to assume they would have themed them if not for "budget cuts". Not every decision, poor or otherwise, comes down to that.
