No sane company, much less Universal or Disney, is going to make a final payment on equipment that is not functioning properly. Making sure a coaster is actually working is also standard amongst the major manufacturers.

Did that section get cleaned a few years ago? I remember someone from the company that was cleaning the beams was posting on here. The work they did looked great, but I am curious is this section was cleaned then or just the part of the loop farther in to future world.
Agreed. No need for a defined link to the films. It honestly adds confusion when Diagon Alley is seemingly set about a year before the Gringott’s ride. Diagon Alley is not nearly seedy enough for the timing of the ride.
I think he intended it as a joke, as generally official park maps usually leave out show buildings from the art. The joke here being that the map is showing the big a$$ building that's attached to UoE
Except when you're attempting to build reputation as a reliable source, posting something that isn't quite an obvious joke isn't particularly wise.

It's a 1980's style map. The joke couldn't be more obvious if delivered by a loudly honking 18-wheeler truck with big neon letters on the side saying 'obvious'.
I think I would've preferred the truck.
