The first of the coaster supports are in place behind Energy. Looks like the launch tunnel will be elevated.
I had heard from a leader friend the road was to be rerouted. Now I know it isn't. The launch side inclines up while the return side is level. Should be interesting to follow.Yep there is a backstage road that leads to the tunnels of Epcot. It has to be high enough that those trucks can get in and out of there.
Well, they've hidden a big box at EPCOT before- and they did it by breaking the rules of scale established for all its neighbors.
And few complain about the American Adventure.

You are correct. The 'Merican Adventure was always considered the "weenie" of World Showcase. Heck, originally it was going to be a huge building that you had to walk under in order to get to the other countries, but that was considered as kind of subconsciously insulting to the other countries.Wasn't this done on purpose due to the small stature of Colonial buildings and a desire to establish AA as the feature pavilion, viewable from FW across the Lagoon? Had they built AA at a more "proper" scale, it would have been quite small compared to the surrounding pavilions and wouldn't properly ground AA as a "weenie" of WS.
Also, cause 'Merica!
The building is so large because of the size of the theater. It’s supposed to look smaller than it is because a five or six story Georgian building looks odd and would be out of line with the other pavilions.Wasn't this done on purpose due to the small stature of Colonial buildings and a desire to establish AA as the feature pavilion, viewable from FW across the Lagoon?
